If the images loads OK then it's not needed.

If your box is a clone then it won't work.

But if you want to install it anyway it won't hurt as long as your box is original.

Here is the link and info

@sonic1.

first of all many thanks for your helpful and quick reply.
I bought this box a an original. I still have to find out hopefully as soon as I flash this BH. Up to now it has the vu+ original software.
I have tried to set it up my present discq 1.2 system which I used via vbox but failed to get it to work. Now i realize that maybe I shall go to the advanced part. I will try this when I get chance to and if I get stuck again, I will probably have to come back to you again - cheeky me

thanks again vamas

V-box works great with vu+ UNO. If you look in the "dummies" guide above, Lee has explained how to do it really well.

for me the v172 media tree blackhole images is the best very stable image
and with anything above 1.7.2 on blackhole do not gain much of value except the extra universe and the hbbtv thats for the german channels

read DCB's post number 7 and sonics post number 8 again

where they have both told you to FTP the file to /tmp NOT TO YOUR USB !!
then manually install using the green button, followed by the yellow button then selecting manual install of ipk

then read DCB's post number 9 again where he tells you to press the blue button the using the left and right buttons you select the newly installed cam, then press the ok button for the cam to start.

you then need to add your C lines to the cccam.cfg that you will find in /etc

Ian.

You need an FTP program which can find in VuControl Centre which has every tool you need.

OK,

I think I have solved this out.
I have downloaded DCC 2.95 and should manage. This is what I was missing.....

Hi

I have followed all the instruction within these posts but i still cannot get the cccam to work. i had the .cfg and the ipk files which were used when the solo was loaded with a vix image. This worked fine. There was no more to do with the vix but these two files. i have since uploaded this file CCCam_2.3.0_FULL_E2_bh.tgz but when i hit the blue button to the BH Blue Panel screen, its not listed. Has anyone any ideas.

ftp CCCam (https://www.goldwafers.co.uk/CAMS/)_2.3.0_FULL_E2_bh.tgz to the /tmp folder
Then press the Green Button followed by the Yellow button
Then select install blackhole package and select the CCCam (https://www.goldwafers.co.uk/CAMS/)_2.3.0_FULL_E2_bh.tgz from the list and press OK to install.

Once it's installed restart and you'll see CCcam in the blue panel.
