S3000 HDCCI usb problem

I´ve a problem regarding S3000 HDCCI. When I record a program to my external USB hard disk, I can´t watch it on TV, the program is nowhere to find on the disk. But when I plug the USB hard disk to my PC, no problem, I can watch the program without any problems. What could be the mistake I do?

Sorry but I need some clarification.
Do you mean
A. Cannot playback the recordings from the Hard drive via the S3000
or
B. Cannot playback the recordings from the Hard drive when the USB Hard Drive is plugged directly into the TV?
