View Full Version : No RF Outputs for magic eye :(
I know there has been another thread on this but I used to control my dreambox from another room through a magic eye via a RF cable.
Is there a way of still using these magic eyes on a vu?
I know you can get wireless video senders but I wanted to use the remote in another room to!

I have read a few threads about this recently as it happens !
the only way to do this with a magic eye is with a global plus or blue delta or a triax tri-link over rf cable
also note very few boxes have an rf output so you can use an old vcr or use a scart to rf adapter
as for sending IR signals to control a box, the marmitek pyramids will work
the point about magic eyes is that they are used to control sky boxes using its rf2 link, so you have to replicate this using the above technology as nothing but a sky box has this built in
there are some boxes that have rf outputs like the spider 9000 or tm9100, but they still dont natively support magic eyes and do not supply the dc power either
but the above scenario applies to ANY boxes, not just a vu or dreambox

and now its all working with full control from every room, even on my outdoor TV!
