How do you get sub menus up?

With my old dreambox I think you pressed the green or yellow button to bring up a sub menu on certain channels. I used to do this with the old Premier Direkt for example.

Is this not applicable now? I have noticed that on certain channels the little gear icon is illuminated possibly hinting that there is a sub menu on this channel.

The green buttoin brings up the subservices menu on some channels. See Ѕky select on 19°e
