Icecrypt STC6000 and updates

I've noticed that an update V21126 for the Octagon SF1028 (I assume that is the "same box") has been available since 24/11 (and v21118 on 19/11) and claims DVB-T2 tuner improvements. Does anyone know how/where the Icecrypt updates are produced? Please note that I'm grateful to ColdAsIce for his posts and this post is not in any way a comment on his efforts to supply updates.:respect-037:

Hi,
I stand to be corrected but as I understand things the 6000 box is one version of a generic product that is sold worldwide.
This generic product has identical hardware but could have slightly different Fw for each varient. The Octagon varient seems to be ahead of the Icecrypt product with respect to Fw releases, so I am guessing that Icecrypt have to do a validation on the Fw before releasing it in the UK market.
I'm sure the Ice will correct me if the above is not the case
