yes, if it's the same as this one?
_http://sourceforge.net/projects/epgcollector/files/

bit of info here
https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?153959-epg-dvbviewer

I use it with dvbviewer on 28 deg, gives 7 day epg after importing the file it creates into dvbviewer with xepg, it is the only thing I have found that will do the job.
It uses your dvb card in your pc to collect the epg info I use version 3.2 with xp,

Nah . . epg collector, or do they work together?

There 2 different programs in use here.

epg collector uses your dvb sat card in your pc and locks onto the epg transponder for the sat you want the epg for.
in the case of 28 deg the epg is encrypted, epg collector collects the info for the next 7 days then decrypts it and dumps a file with all the info in it on your pc.
the default name of the file is tvguiide.xml it is around 44meg.
This is just one mass of information that is of no use unless processed into a form for us humans to make sense of.

The second program is called Xepg, this then takes your tvguide.xml file and imports it into dvbviewers tv guide database giving a grid and time line type of tv guide like most sat box's give.

There are a few areas you must get right or it does not work.
The most time consuming part is to set up xepg to understand what part of the info form your tvguide.xml file is meant for what channel, this is only related to dvbviewer, you take your dvbviewer channel list and pair each channel name from it to the correct channel name that xepg has recovered for you from your tvguide.xml file.
once the pairing is done, every time you import a tvguide.xml file into dvbviewer using xepg the correct program guide info for the correct channel is created and you have you 7 day epg guide.

As for epgcenter vertion 3.2 or lower, if using xp, I was unable to get it to work once .NET Framework v4 had been installed as installing .NET Framework v4 effects the function of .NET Framework v2 and 3.2 or lower requires .NET Framework v2.
if .NET Framework v4 is installed then epgcenter v4 or later should work but I have had no luck with it on xp.

once epgcenter has been installed, for it to function you must create an .ini file called "epg collector.ini"
this file hold the information about the dvb-s card you have, what the transponder freq is that the epg data is transmitted on, what format you would like the guide info saving in your tvguide.xml file and so on. (after creating the file do not forget to save it, epgcollector does not remind you to do so)
the program itself will create the file for you or you can use a pre made one that is supplied with the program.
to create a new one go top menu, file>create collection parameters
to start a collecting session, go to top menu, run>collect epg data, point it to the place you have saved your epg collector.ini file and the program does the rest.

If you want my collection parameters ini file for 28 deg I can upload it for you.
epgcenter v3.2 collection parameters ini files do not work with epgcenter v4.

if epgcenter exits with error code 5, the collection parameters ini file is incorrect.

hope this helps

Wow
will have to read that more than once!

Am I right in thinking that there is no ONE epg for sky UK, and that each transponder (sid/channel/whatever) carries its own epg; therefore all transponders have to be scanned for epg data.
Reason I ask - I don't get EVERY channel here!
