how would you rate the tm 5402hd

hi guys am thinking of buying a tm 5402hd
how would you rate this box compaired to a dreambox/vu+
i know its not a lynux box
but been told the picture and tuner is much better quality
than the drm and vu+.

All depends on what you want out of your box.

Can't see how the picture can be better? SuperHD or something? Heard the same BS argument when sellers were selling the Open & Skyboxes.
Better tuner? In what way better? The bad old days of poor DM tuners past long ago.

Technomate are a great name from the past but when the DM arrived that was the end of that and IMHO is still the case.

DM or VU. Real thing or clone. Whichever way you present it all VU's are DM clones. The Solo & Duo are now pretty well supported with regard to images but the Uno, which I own, cannot boast the same & I fear the same will be true of the new series 2 boxes. I recently went back to DM and got an SE. Loads of stuff to play with which suits my character perfectly and if, like me, you are a tinkerer then that is the route I would recommend. If you just want to plug & watch then the TM will do nicely but so would an Openbox.

At the end of the day no one can decide for you. Nor should they. :)
