Hi all,

I'm new with the Azbox and I have installed OpenAZBox PLi MOD HD Prerelease 7 with newest kernel. I was trying to decrypt my old Digitürk Cryptoworks card, but I haven't been successfully with all the emu's I have tried. I read that it was related to the kernel level. So my questions are:

- How old shall the kernel be before I can use the internal card reader (stable image)?
- How can I downgrade the kernel from the newest to an old working one? It will be nice if the is any tutorial about this.

Thanks,

ZirekTR

Hi,

Internal card reader is not supported, you need to purchase an external card reader like a Smargo/Smartreader and connect it to an USB port of the Azcrap.
My advice, sell it and purchase a real STB (Dreambox, Xtrend, VU+,...)

Thanks. Why did they even put it when it not will be supported?

I should have read about the box before buying it, but its not a big deal. I bought it second hand very cheap as a substitute for my old DM7000s which don't have hdmi, but is decrypting my card without issues :)

lets assume it worked on the official AZBOX firmware - but E2 is an ongoing project to make the box useable.

im not sure of the issues as to why they can't get the card readers working on E2.

maybe the SPAZE team will have better luck

Hi,

Yes E2 is an ongoing project since a very long time now on the Azbox and still not fully operationnal.... like the official firmware... which is no longer developped...

But to come back to zirektr problem, if you plan to still use your old DM7000 or leave it running somewhere, then use it as a card server and use your Azcrap as a client, this will work.
