Hi, my flash appeared to get corrupt stuck booting at Linux tar.gz on screen so I flashed a new image using web interface. That worked but on reboot I now get no ca error. Eh? Did I flash wrong image?

Confused with all this clone info - mine is not a clone. What do I need to do please? I have a null modem cable - do I just use official dream up to flash a proper non clone image? If so, what image? The one I was using was years old.

Thanks.

You have actually answered your own question and the tools and image to recover your box are openly available on the Dream Multimedia (http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=4&cad=rja&ved=0CGYQFjAD&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dream-multimedia-tv.de%2Fboard%2Findex.php%3Fpage% 3DThread%26threadID%3D15776&ei=LyjgUN69GeKQ0AXA-oHYAw&usg=AFQjCNHkdI4ZGXmsRjm1mtmWN77UO yYV4g&sig2=F5TvGk91gx1W7c5qonwDRw&bvm=bv.1355534169,d.d2k) site but I have to admit I have never seen this error on a non clone box. Normally just sticks with the Dream logo on the LCD and won't go any further. Are you sure it's original?

Well I bought it from Lee at Goldwafers so I hope so!

Thanks for the reply.

You need to update the bootloader to SS84

Then you can flash the latest images.

Thanks - I swear I had 84 on there already but maybe it was 83.

Have an official DM800 image on there now (phew - at least it is booting now) and ss84 so will now try and flash an non official image using Firefox rather than IE!

Not sure which version of FF you use but I found Chrome better when I was updating a m8's box recently.
FF would not play ball.
