Hi
Could I get some current recommendations for a good quite hard drive for my duo,
I see in a lot of treads that the samgsung are mentioned but they seem to be hard to locate.
Thanks

I'm using a SATAII Hard Disk 3.5" 1.5TB Samsung (HD154UI 5400RPM 32MB) in my Vu+ Duo. Works like a dream. I have around 70 movies on the hard drive (mostly HD) and less than 0.5TB is currently used.

Really easy to mount and initialise in the receiver, and never had a need to play around with it.

I think I paid around 75 quid for it.

I was thinking about fitting a 7200 RPM, Hitachi Deskstar 1-TB hard drive to my VU+solo2 or something similar its sata 111 and 32MB on **** at the moment. Does it matter what the spin speed is with a VU, heat problems are the only thing I can think of to prevent their fitment?
Any advice appreciated.

Thanks for the advice echelon, those ones are cheaper. Apologies for the seller ref, been away for a few years and thought only direct links were not acceptable, and for posting in this section as opposed to VU+Solo2 section.
