softcam for VU+Solo2

Hi ,
trying to find out the best way to get the softcam for all into VU+Solo2.
Do I use USB or should I use the DCC? If I use the DCC were do i put the softcam ie TMP or ECT or VAR folder any help welcome.

I am using VU latest own image.
I have 3 Cams installed CCcam 2.2.0 / 2.3.0 and Oscam-CCcam-2.
I have the latest Softcam for all which i tested on my Clarktec via USB stick.

you might need constant cw file aswell with ccam sonic 1 will confirm

Vucc 0.6 or an ftp program like flash fxp can also be used for ftp work

My advice is get rid of the original image and load Black Hole, VIX or VTi image.
The original is OK for FTA but that's it.

if using Win7 and above you dont actually need any FTP program, Just click the start button goto Computer and at the top enter ftp://192.168.#.## your ip address and your in.

I am farmiliar with DCC: but not used VUCC

as sonic1 pointed out , you need the patched v3 vix image, or bh or one of the others on the box

then it depends on the emu used as to which of those 2 files is required

I had BlackHole image on but took it off as I could not get any recordings to work on it.
I have all 3 CCcams installed with the VU Image and can open all on 28 east with c/*
But thought there was an easy way to open 39 east and 10 east with the softcam.

tried mounting it but just would not recognise it (I am using a Verbatin 250mb Usb drive)

Just tried Simons 2003
softcam in VU+Solo2 still black screen on 10 east and 39 east.

( CCcam doesn't support Irdeto II )
So I use MGcamd 1.38 when i want to open Bulsat on 39e


CCcam is fine for opening PLTV HD on 10e
but having examined the above Softcam Key file (there are 3 different Keys for PLTV HD on 10e
and none are the current one)
Simon 2003 probably uses "constant.cw" file to open PLTV HD as he has BH image installed on his box.

You can try this softcam which is created by MinicatKeys updater from the plugin satangels-updater

Extract Softcam.key file and FTP to /usr/keys

I know you have tried BH and have had some issues with accessing your Movies,
maybe you would have better sucess with VIX image on your Solo2
I find the Original Images are limited to say the least.

Still black screen do I need to unplug the ethernet cable to stop c/* files? interfearing with the MGcamb 1.38.If I cant get it sorted on the Solo2 I will conect up my old VU+solo and install the
VIX or VTi image then if i get that running, with the best image I will install on the Solo2 as long as I can record ok.

Sorry its taken so long to get back to you Compass,
I extracted satangels to tmp folder as you said then I went to main menu/setup/
software management/install local extensions (is this right) but could get no further so put satangels on stick and put it in that way and it is installed went to minicats MGcamb and updated ok but still black screen on 39 east but 10 east is open ok.
cant understand why 39 east won't open Good 70% signal.
I think it was catseyes settings I put on.

I take it your using MGcamd 1.38 to open bulsat it's probs your config that's the problem

Here is my config for MGcamd
which is located /usr/keys

Extract then ftp to /usr/keys

then restart MGcamd

no it shouldn't conflict,

I take it you used TSpanel to download MGcamd 1.38
& you selected the correct version of MGcamd 1.38 for your image?

Yes I used the TSpanel to download the MGcamb-1.38 but cant see any mention of VU+Solo2 after the instalation.
When installing the MGcamb I get a list saying dowloading _http://www.tunisiasat etc there is 8 in the pack tried to do a snip but wont let me send it.
When I went to satangels I get error message saying bad address "keys.satangels.com"

It would seem this is the issue that sonic1 was referring to the Original image is pants as i don't believe there is a Version of MGcamd for VU openembedded image

time to think about trying vix me thinks that is if you wish to get Bulsat to clear,

Then you can manual install TSpanel 6.8
and go to Linux-Sat-support-addons, Cams VIX
and install MGcamd 1.38-VIX

Start a telnet session, I suggest you use putty then you can copy and paste this command.

I have been messing about with different images over the last fortnight: I was trying different images on my old vusolo box as not to mess up my vosolo2 while trying different images, so as I could get the recording side to work, like I have working on the VU's own image. Well I have now installed the latest BH Image and all the recordings are working perfect now on both the solo and solo2. I have now put solo to bed for the summer and I running the VU+Solo2. So I will need to know if there is any cams still opening 39 east as I suspect the one I got from Compass are out of date now.
For some reason could not get the tspanel on the BH Image so had to install the Enigma-2-extension-trrplugin-v2 via USB which is running OK. I know PLTV has gone but still needing the cam for 39 east.

This is a brand new box i had a few issues when first purchased with scanning sats and recording ect ,all have been sorted by driver updates and now weve even got an OE2 OS,, solo2 going from strength to strength imho probably best box out there at the minute,just give it time and im sure will deliver more ,blindscan ect
heres the files you need for nova sport on 39 e
you need to run mgcamd not ccam ,add folder to temp with your ftp then manual install with BH green then yellow, and the softcam put in var/keys,then you will have to change to mgcamd to veiw use blue button ,you can then use autocam to switch to mgcamd for this channel automatically

39 east problem (Again)

Hi,
I have just put latest softcam keys into mgcamb and only a black screen is showing.
using Blackhole 2.0.8 image
Tried changing mgcamb 1.38c and mg.cfg and autoroll via DCC but still nothing.
I have been told that there is issues with VU Solo2 (not a clone as I bought from sponsor) and Blackhole image I have had it running for almost a year now until now.
Any help most appreciated.

Yes gbmitie you name it I have tried it: it only started since I put the latest BlackHole image on my VUSolo2.
I have run out of ideas.

Still black screen on 39 East,
I put the new Softcam keys in tonight, even changed back from MGCamb 1.38c to MGCamb 1.35a but still the same its over a fortnight now with black screen exhausted all ideas.
Any new idea welcome.
