56416Hello guys, tried to find the proper section for switch question but only found this LNB section with some threads about DiseqC questions, I am hoping posting in the right place,
I just got a DiseqC switch 4x1 brand DMS international Model: 41T2 format 2.0
Here are the specs
Specifications: DS-41T2
4x1 DiSEqC 2.0 support bi-directional DiSEqC full control functions.
Allow remote units to report their possible and actual configuration.
Support DiSEqC “stand-by” commands
1 output for receiver with “DiSEqC” commands function
Backwards compatibility with “Tone Burst”
Impedance: 75 Ohm, all ports
Connectors: "F" type female
*Frequency Range *950-2400MHz
*Insertion Loss *<3dB
*Return Loss *<8dB
*DC Power Loss *<10 mA
*Passing Current *500mA
*Diode *5
I got this switch because a friend bought it brand new installed it and receiver didn't show any quality on all 4 ports, he has a LimeSat Ultra and DiseqC settings are 1.0 and 1.2 for motor set up, I lend him my DiseqC switch Chieta wish the specs said 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.4, 1.6, 2.0, and it worked fine, I tested the the DMS 2.0 with my SkyBox S12 and worked perfect I didn't have to do anything in the dish settings, now my question is the Bi-Directional specs, what does this means? what are the features you'll gain with this format? DMS diseqc format is only 2.0, Thanks in advance Turbo
