Hi guys

Looking to get a enigma 2 reciever for the bedroom

This can be new (subject to ££'s) or older/used/2nd hand model

However as router is in lounge, the receiver will need to have a reliable wifi type connection

Does any have any recommendations on this?

Dont need to install a HDD but e2 a must so will give me chance to experiment with oscam & other stuff without kids complaining!

just a note to say you dont HAVE to have a wifi connection, although it may be helpful to do so

you can use homeplugs (a pair that includes patch cables, about £29 on e**y delivered for the belkin 200 mbps ones , or a vonets or tenda wifi adapter instead, or run in a cat 5 ethernet cable like I have)

I would have thought there was a vu that does the wifi part though

I have my Uno connected with the Vu+ adaptor and it connects at 300mps, connection and streaming is flawless.

just as a side issue, in case anyone like catseye or me wanted one the same but with an internal hdd cradle, does the uno or solo etc have those internal sata connectors for 2.5 inch or 3.5 inch drives ?

I know the duo and solo2 do have internal hdd connections, but have no idea about the uno or solo etc

The Uno can be fitted with an internal 2.5" or 3.5" internal SATA drive, the Solo an external USB or NAS drive only.

Running a (clone) db800 and AZ Box using tenda Works good no problems so far with the wifi
