Hi,

I am a fairly new user and novice to Sat TV. I have a Spiderbox HD 9000 and receive 13E Hotbird, 19.2E Astra, 28.2E Astra and 39E Hellas. I am able to update softcam keys on regular basis to receive football channels, but cannot access Channel 5 on 28.2E, all other popular UK channels are viewable, but Channels 5 is scrambled.

Can anyone tell me if and how I can view it?

I have noticed on a number of sections that there are "Channel Lists", should I track these and update my channels when new ones are shown? If so, what lists should I watch for my box? The List I have was set up in November 2011 when I first set up the system.

Any general advice or help will be much appreciated and sorry if my terminology is wrong, I am willing to learn.

Regards,

TSSat

you cannot watch a scrambled channel on 28.2e without a suitable sly card

only the freesat one can be viewed fta

10964H 22000

As echelon implies, you are probably watching the HD channel on 12266H which is scrambled.

or he is checking the scrambled SD versions (if they still exist) instead of the freesat one

Hi All,

Thank you for your replies. The channel that was originally listed as Channel 5 (10773H 22000) and is not scrambled is actually BBC Red Button. There are 4 scrambled channels that show as Channel 5 and all have the same transponder reference: 12421H 27500 and there is one Channel 5 HD on 12265H 29500 and that is scrambled. I noted the transponder reference supplied by echelon (thank you very much) - 10964H 22000 - and searched for it, but without success. I have also checked 19.2E Astra, 13.0E Hotbird and 38E Hellas to see if the open Channel 5 station was on any of these, but could not find it.

Is there any way I can access setting 10964H 22000, please?

Again, thank you all for your comments.

This frequency is on astra 28E location on the astra 2F UK spot beam as you have difficulty tuning it can only think you are located outside the UK spot beam reception area!

Your general location would help!

location and a rescan would help due to the date given in post #1

clearly you havent taken account of all the bbc changes and the transponder changes within the last 6 to 12 months

10773H 22000 is now bbc2 england and cbeebies and bbc 4

a new channel list may help but you would have to take account of your location and your fixed dish requirements given you only use 4 satellites and most lists are motorised and cover many more

if you cannot get the free transponders or any c5 that isnt scrambled you would need a white card to open the ones you can get, including c5HD which has always been scrambled

king of sat and lyng sat will give you the current transponders , which are only these :-

c5 Astra 2F 10964.00 H 57 U.K. DVB-S QPSK 22000 5/6 33.8 Mbps NID:2 TID:2057

c5HD Astra 1N 12266.00 H 29 Pan Europe DVB-S2 QPSK 29500 3/4 43.9 Mbps NID:2 TID:2029

Thanks for your comments. I am based in Es***. My satellite location is Latitude: 51.894858 (51° 53' 41.49'' N), Longitude: 0.612381 (0° 36' 44.57'' E).
I have a motorised system with a Technomate TM-2200 Super DISEQC H-H Motor, a 90cm dish and a Golden Interstar Universal Twin LNB 0.2dB.

I can view all other freesat channels on Astra 28.2E, but cannot access frequency 10964H 22000. I have tried resetting the channels for the satellite and tried to find the transponder by searching manually, but it is not being picked up.

I have some 13 satellites showing on my Spiderbox 9000 menu, but can only get a signal strong enough for 4 of them - I think that the elevation of the dish may be affecting this, but do not want to start playing with it and risk losing what I have got.
Again, any comments or advice will me much appreciated.

sounds like you are in germany , like e$$en or similar

make a note of your usals settings on your spiderbox (if you are using usals) and save your channel list to a usb stick formatted to fat32

now load my list, overwriting your old channel list on your spiderbox , and set the usals to your settings you noted previously

now try the satellites one by one , especially 28.2 east, and especially channel 5

if you obtain a freesat (white) card you could view c5HD seeing as you get it scrambled at the moment

if you dont like my list, or billybits or anyone elses list, reload your own and set your usals once more , to get back to your present position

ahh , the post was all jumbled up so I read it as 6 east , not 0.6 east , LOL :)

skomedal intimated that he wasnt in the uk and he never refuted it, so I got the impression he was non-uk

well , if he is in the uk thats all we needed to know, as clearly he should receive that transponder in the uk

I have now uploaded my recent channel list so he can try it

Hi, Just want to thank Echelon. I downloaded channel list and used it to overwrite old channel list. I had to reset satellites, but did so and now I have Channel 5 on Astra 28.2E. Learned a lot in the process as well. Thanks again.
