i keep trying these new drivers out on BH 1.7.9 but keep getting problems where i cant even boot my image,
it usually happens after a crash which may or may not be down to the drivers.... (i do like to play !)
this is from the last crash;
+ (1) Background File Eraser
+ (8) graphics acceleration manager
+ (9) GFBDC
FATAL: no framebuffer available
resolve: resolve ${sysconfdir}/enigma2/settings
resolve: -> /etc/enigma2/settings
resolve: resolve ${sysconfdir}/enigma2/settings
resolve: -> /etc/enigma2/settings

How are you installing them ?
Definitely a small improvement but the issue is when you watch something like SPN and the ticker is running across the bottom.

Installing them the way that A reccomended...
Use ftp and put the files into /lib/modules/3.3.6-1.2/extra/
Then reboot your box
box restarts fine and all is well for a while but then the box will have a problem, maybe gsod or spinner,
and then will just sit at the BH splash screen on restart
if i keep the original december drivers in it then this problem doesnt occur ?
maybe it's not the drivers but just a coincidence but seems strange that this happens after a driver update

My advice is use the latest Vu Control centre, no chance of any errors that way.

Make sure you select the latest release drivers and not beta.

all done lets see how it goes...
the first difference is i only rebooted after putting the drivers on before,
where as vucc says to power off and on, so i have.

Power off is the correct procedure and don't rush to switch back on, give it a minute or so.
