Is Mgcamd actually running on your box ?
You have already asked yourself if you need it and my answer is I doubt you need it.

Hi sonic yeh got it working just thought it was better to have it as more stable from what i read

The problem is the last official release is very old and it is not designed to run on the latest images, if we ever see another release it would be great as it was a great emu back in its day.

For now I suggest Oscam if you have the time and patients.

If you have a working C and N line then using the N Line in MGcamd will benefit from the Cache feature which is not present in CCcam, Running a C line in Mgcamd will have zero benefit you may as well run as normal in CCcam

Start reading now and come back in about a month when you have finished, it will take you that long to get your head around it :D

I have both digicon thanks is there anything i need to do for the benefit you mention or does that happen automatically. Last night i only had mgcamd on but i notice this morning it says CCcam and mgcam are both active i didnt think this was possible? What line would it choose then?

You really only need to run the N line in Mgcamd to benefit from the Cache feature, I dont wnat to go into it too much as i am not sure as whats allowed on the forum but running an N line in Mgcamd will give better results to the end user than a C line can.

in usr/keys find the newcamd.list file and enter your N: line but as previously stated remove the N: at the front and replace with CWS =
