why so long time to connect to my c lines?

Hi
I wonder why it almost all times take so long time to connect to my c lines after a reboot or if the box has been switched off?
I also have a DB and it connects to the server directly if I try the servers in that box

A Linux receiver will alway connect to your shares more efficiently and clear channels quicker than any closed source receiver.

Yes I know but it takes much longer time now as it did for 4-5 months ago.
And the box freezes couple of times and lost connection so have to reboout and again wait a lot of minutes for it to connect. Why is it so? What could work to solve the problem or does the box start to be too old? Have used it for 3-4 years

You can try doing a factory reset, after saving your channel list, then re-load the latest patch, do a factory reset again and load your channel list. Of course the problem could be with your server, your internet connection, or even a dodgy cable. You might need to check all these before solving the problem.

Good question as my Dreambox7020s connects with no problems(except hd channels),yet spiderbox drops lines and slow to connect. The main reason i am waiting if the new duo box is as good as the listed spec.

The problem is I cant try to make a factory reset. The password is wrong. Is it possible to reset it somwhow? Or what is the default pass?

you cannot change the firmware as its embedded

the last patch is the one above, dated march 2012

The quickest way I have found to get it to clear is to switch ccam off in the menu's and then switch it back on. Quicker than a reboot etc. May be other faster ways but this works well for me with Spiderbox. Dreambox has no such problems.

say the exact model of your spiderbox and go to menu information and read off what it says in there. ie software and loader.

Yes, @ouagadougou thats correct. Works sometimes but almost doesnt work and have to reboot and wait 5-20min before it has been connected again.

Is it some way to enter a new password in the box or reset it in anyway? I mean for make a facrotyreset, because password doesnt work. The box is totaly f-ucked up and freezes all the time and reboots and then it doesnt connect to servers directly so have to do something about it impossible to use it as it works right now

Its the poweradapter or something with the power that broken or too old, because it rebooting it selg all the time so time for buy a new box.
