OnDemand plugin devixified and working on all images

Heres the Ondemand plugin that previously only worked on VIX images

they used existing plugins for ITVplayer BBCiplayer ect and packaged them in this one container plugin,then claimed the plugin as their own and edited the files in such a way that they then only ran on the VIX image.

these files have now been vastly edited by Subixonfire,Saintomer,Cokeaddict and Myself to now run on any image.
Many new files and their dependencies that are needed for it to run have also been included in the ipk's and the ipk's themselves were created by Ten Below as we couldnt get them to work properly.

i hope now that ALL users enjoy this plugin and not just the VIX users that the OE Alliance edited the plugin to only work with.

also i forgot to mention that the great thing about this version is that its not geo locked.

this means that anyone in Spain or wherever can now use the BBCiplayer and ITVplayer plugins without the need for any proxies or dns nameservers inserted into their boxes,and we ourselves can fully use the RTEplayer and 3player plugins from here in the UK.

ok two new ipk's that this time 100% overwrite existing files if they are already installed in peoples boxes.

they dont however have the latest 3player fix in them so please download and send over cokeaddicts 3player file and overwite your existing 3player file after installation

if you already have the plugin installed you dont need these.
these are just for people who are struggling to install using the first set of files.

i get no module named zlib

im not sure because i dont have a 7020HD or 8000HD but i do remember oldfart mentioning something about not being able to instal any plugins at all on these boxes using ipk's
perhaps pm him to be sure.

if this is indeed the case then you have no option but to extract the ipk using 7zip and instal the files manually.

I'm sorry but that statement is wrong and Legally defamatory.

No one From the ViX image have ever claimed ownership of any of the works contained within the OE-Alliance OnDemand player, nor have we included any thing to intentionally make the plugin only run on the ViX image, but as all of our team tend to only use ViX this is ofcourse a possible outcome as we were more concerned with getting things working properly than making sure they work on every image under the sun.

This work has been made fully open source and opened to the public via GITHUB. One of the primary developers of this plugin is the author of the threeplayer and RTE player and co author of the BBCiplayer who has publicly acknowledged Subixonfire as the source of his works.

we have spent literally hundreds of hours on our own without help from any one else improving and updating these plugins including removing the GEO locks from the ITV player and BBCiplater but we never received thanks for that. I also posted all of the dependencies my self directly on the BH and pli forums for their devs to work with.

ViX and the OE-Alliance are fully open source and all of our works are available to every one via the public GIT, if you needed any help or files in order to get this working you only needed to ask for them and we would have gladly given them to you. we would far rather work with others that the constant barrage of false accusations which have no basis in fact.

For users of the New Black Hole OE2 images I have repacked with the fix and added it to the BH adddons server so a few button presses and you have it.
To remove just use the BH uninstall panel.

Just to add to my questions thought I would summarise for DB users. Use appropriate 1.6 or 2.0 file for your image.
Open up the files and install manually following path as given with each entry. Make sure permissions are correct - i have set files to 755 and scripts to 644.
Go to plugins on box - error message will tell you which files are missing - they are on here - so just download them and open each and also manual install with correct permissions. restart GUI as needed - I have got 3 player running and all lists for the others - this bitrate thing is the only stumbling block and hopefully the gts-rmtp will be the final key. It is happily sitting in plugins atm and no errors other than bitrate. Hope this helps - cheers - brain

Ok guys got this installed on my clone dm800se running an OpenPli image,
installed the ipk first then the pyo dependency files and then the gst-rtmp ipk file as well :)

RTE Player and the 3Player work great :)

ITV Player green screens regardless of what I chose to play
BBC iplayer just shows a "Chose Bitrate" menu screen but there is only an "Exit" option on it

Any ideas?
Might just add I'm in Ireland

you get what you pay for simple as that.

but if you would like a more technical explanation,then its quite simple.RTEplayer and 3player are using http links where as the BBCiplayer and ITVplayer are using rtmp.
from your crashlog its quite evident that your url2lib file is incapable of doing the job it was written for,simply because the copied chips in your box cannot cope and when the box requests connection to the DNS resolver,it crashes because this connection cannot be made.

this is purely down to the box being a clone and the poor quality rip off electronics are not doing the job that the real ones are capable of doing.

nothing can be done to rectify this and you will have to live with the capabilities of your clone and what it doesnt provide for you.
some clones can do this,others like yours cannot.its a lottery,you can get a very good clone thats nearly as good at reproducing what a real box can do,but most are poor quality and simply cannot do this.

I would really like to take the time to thank Ian, EvO, TenBelow, CokeAddict, sonic1 and all other parties involved in modifying this and other OE-Alliance plugins to make them compatible with more images than we our selves are currently able to including and especially whole Black Hole team ( sorry if i missed any one out ). I am very humbled and proud that users of other images value these plugins enough to want to use them on their chosen image.

I would like to say that we in the OE-Alliance value such openness and this is one of the founding principles of our own alliance.

so from me I say thank you and i look forward to working with you in the future if the need arises. as always if you wish it, i will keep this thread updated with any new developments to do with this plugin including posting of files as and when we post them to our GIT, but please understand the under certain cir***stances we may need to delay this process a little while we make sure the work we post is fit for purpose as we really dont like posting things that do not work.

trying to edit now and about 50% of the code that needs to be edited is completed.ive got the new plugin version to run on both python 2.6 and 2.7,on both BP and BH,but only by removing the png's(will sort these later)
the biggest problem and one saintomer and i may not be able to overcome alone is to do with the skins.
certain elements appear to be missing from none vix skins and at the mo im totally stuck on this.and the plugin is crashing when trying to display the new itv screens.the jpegs are downloaded to the /tmp file but as i said my skin cannot display them.

anyone wishing to help needs to add two new modules too to get the new version of the plugin to run.
i can supply these if needed as ive already sourced them from the net.

but if you want to get them yourselves you need the simplejson and decimal.py modules.

never been good with skins.but i know many on here are.

its this thats got me stuck at present.

Anyone cracked it for DE images on a DB yet? I have tried many variations but although all works on the 3 section I still get the choose bitrate screen on the others and it goes no further. Any help to solve this final bit of the jigsaw will be very gratefully received. Cheers - Brain

please start to tell people in your posts that these updates WILL NOT WORK on any image other than VIX and maybe OpenPLI (because VIX is a rip off of OpenPli)

although its ok for you to tell people about the updates,and its great and very helpful when you post the needed dependency files,the fact still remains that all you are doing is creating confusion when people load them onto their boxes only to find that they dont work.

also the posting of these updates knowing full well that only VIX users can use them in my opinion is an attempt to just advertise VIX everywhere.
no one on the OE Alliance team are making any attempt to get these updates to run on other images,and dont give me your crap saying that they are just optimized to work with VIX as the mods that we made here to the previous version to work on all images,work just as well on VIX as your original plugin.

this is cool as many have never even heard of github,let alone know how to use it or obtain files from it.and many members are really greatfull for your informative posts.

the issue is that these files without modification will not work on images other than VIX and some OpenPli images as long as all of the dependencies are also installed.this is a fact,and without telling people this and just posting these files,people quite naturally assume that these files will work for them as long as they follow the instructions and load them correctly.they believe this because pimps is a reputable forum that has only ever hosted working files.

this is where the problems begin,and numerous people have contacted me asking for help in the fact that they just cannot understand what they are doing wrong and why the files hosted here do not work for them.
they feel stupid and even say so in their messages to me.
but they are not being stupid,and its through no fault of their own that they cannot get them to work.
im having to repeatably tell people this,and that they shouldnt worry because its nothing they themselves are doing wrong.

it would be so simple to prevent all of this confusion,if you just simply stated in your posts that the latest updates will only work on the VIX image.

members then,will read this info and not waste their time and effort in trying to make something work,that never ever will.

the perfect solution of course would for the files to be written in a format that all images understood.

Have to put my 2 cents in here.. I've installed ondemand files posted here on an open pli 3.0 image and it works perfectly.
So to say that the said files only work on vix images is not correct.

I don't know much about the dependencies of Linux but I know there are certain dependencies for certain images to make plugins work, not all images are the same and as a result work needs to be done by people in their OWN time for the greater community .

I just want to keep this discussion balanced.

the very latest updates posted recently by phoenix or the ones that WE modified in OUR own time last weekend ?

if its the latter then those are the files we modified and will work on ALL images,and this also includes VIX and OpenPli too.this was done purposely so all could enjoy this plugin and not just the select few who are willing to use VIX.
if its the former,then yes,because VIX is a rip off of OpenPli these files will work on certain OpenPli versions too,this is widely known and this has also been stated earlier in this thread by myself and others.

both of the above images use certain aspects of python that are now really rather dated and all other images,in order to keep the image size down to a minimum,have done away with using this old code.after all,whats the point of bloating an image with code thats no longer up to date?

I just cant find anything else to get it going on BBC and itv player without getting locked on the bitrate screen - is there another file i am needing? Have added bfs,dns,lxml and html entity and parser ones. Any conflict here? - should I add the python-io one? Not quite true. OnDemand does not work on SH4 based boxes because of incompatibilty of LXML.

I've hit a brick wall trying to fix it. The only SH4 version of LXML I've found uses UCS2 unicode. Python 2.7 uses UCS4.

I'm not proficient enough to build LXML from source using UCS4 unicode :(

i dont really wish to become involved with the political side of this,i have my own feelings regarding the way this and other OE Alliance plugins have been written,but for the most part ive kept them to myself.but if you feel my post will help you to sell more boxes then by all means you can use it on your forum,but also please remember i wasnt attacking phoenix personally and only wished to avoid this current situation,so could you please state this too if you do indeed use them.but also i have to admit that part of me is beginning to believe this confusion was caused intentionally in order to discredit our files,so when people try them,they wont work for them.this is simply because of his refusal to post that his files are VIX only.hes done the same thing on every forum ive posted these files on and so everywhere there is now confusion about which files work and which dont.

regarding the modifying of the new plugin versions,because of work ive barely had a chance to even look at them to modify them for other images and the little saintomer,cokeaddict and myself have done is now outdated because there have been so many new releases this week.
so it looks like we need to start again using the very latest files anyway,plus we also need help from Subix,but so far we have been unable to contact him as i believe hes been quite ill this week.so for the foreseeable future,please just use the files we have modified already that dont include the 4OD player.
although i do have a new BBCiplyer file that has the sport link fixed that ive not uploaded yet.i will give this to you once you have the plugin up and running properly.

Unfortunately that rite there is a big part of the problem and one of the reasons why i started posting in this thread in the first place.

The OE-Alliance does not write plugins only for the ViX image, the OE-Alliance is a central GIT used, maintained and updated by 11 separate image teams. but you insist in on populating this myth that the OE-Alliance is a ViX only creation.

again i point you to the above reply in fact i my self tried several images yesterday including Openpli, Italysat, openaff any many others. all of these images accepted the OE-A OnDemand plugin without any problems what so ever but it is worth pointing out that those images were all either OE-A based or Pli 3.0 based images in some form or another.

The OE-Alliance is based on the OpenPli OE note i said BASED on not ripped off as you claim.

There are to my knowledge 4 distinct OE's in existence for Enigma 2 as below.

DMM's own OE which pretty much every thing is based on one way or another but not every thing is compatible with this OE as it's now closed source.

OpenPli's OE which was forked away from the DMM OE a very long time ago, so long ago in fact that it bares little resemblance to the DMM OE any longer and a lot of the inner core of this OE is no longer cmpatible with the DMM OE based images.

Vu's OE which is based again on the DMM OE although be it a newer version that the Pli OE again though it is no longer compatible with all DMM plugins etc, this is also what BH and VTI base their images on.

The OE-Alliance OE which is based on Pli's OE but with a hell of a lot of the inner core re-written from the ground up. This OE while based on Pli ( not ripped off as you like to claim, a claim that i'm still undecided against taking legal action against ) like all others before it differs greatly from it's parent OE.


as for me posting a disclaimer that any OE-A plugin will only work on ViX that is not only false but if i did that i would end up with dozens of trolls jumping over the thread with the exact same assumptions you like to make.

This is to remove the thumbnails from tmp after you have finished using the players (otherwise your memory will fill up quickly).

I know it wont help Ian but I had to do nothing with you original IPK other than use 7zip to instal. When I downloaded movieonline then tried to open plugins I had the same problem as you fixed for Pixey on page 2 I think it was. I put in htmlentitydefs and markupbase to get it working again. Never had to do anything with coke addicts after I did this.
I am running on Barry Allan and it seems to work on GP and dream elite.

ok now i remember, it was a fix for the GEO lock on 4OD because a Spanish user was getting sporadic results when he clicked on a program, sometimes it would stream sometimes it would just sit there and do nothing. the fix was as i said a string that cycled the feeds upto 15 times in a effort to hit a active non GEO locked stream.

Your first post on here has two files attached are these the files i need to load ondemand on to my db 800 running nemesis, if so has the changes been added regards to your 3rd post when some code was missing etc.. and then other post further down mention fixes to the post one files. in BH 2.01 on my duo I downloaded the online ondemand from the BH server and rebooted and that worked ok

but if I replaced it with the latest ondemand 3 with thumb fixes and 4od + oug from cokeaddict it gave me errors with the json and decimal, so I had to add those files by ftp according to ian`s instructions , chmod them to 755 etc and reboot and it now works fine in bh 2.01

yes were aware of this problem as reported by multiple users not native to the UK. were investigating it but this may take a day or two as Mcquaim is currently away for a few days for work and he's the one who knows most about the GEO lock restrictions etc.

Hopefully a fix should be worked up quickly.

Thanks pheonix, its all working now!! Man, you guys have done a great job. Just to comfirm, all is working on VuSolo Ferrari Clone v3 box with OpenPLI 2.1 and dependancies listed in this thread. Again thanks and if I can be of any help to anyone, just shout. I would also suggest to anyone using streaming on a regular basis to setup a swap file as these guys are resource hungry, but work great.

I've just tried the 'OnDemand-V3_BH-ThumbFix' version on my DM500HD. Everything works fine, apart from a bug I've noticed (on my box anyway). Most things work fine, but if I select a programme which has a lot of episodes, the box will hang while getting the thumbnails. So for instance, if I select 4OD player, then 'Channel 4 Food Programmes', then 'Come Dine With Me' (which has a lot of episodes), my box loads up the list of episodes but with no thumbnails, then just hangs. No green screen, just completely freezes and any channel running in the background freezes too. It's almost as if the box has completely been zapped of memory, and due to no green screen I don't even get a crash log. Any other programmes which have a smaller number of episodes work fine, and load the thumbnails fine.
Has anyone else had any issues bringing up the 'Come Dine With Me' episode list or any other programmes with a large number of episodes?

if your using BH 2.0.2 remove all traces of the previous modified versions from the box then reboot the box. once it reboots use a telnet session to install it agan directly from their own GIT / feeds with the following command.

init 4 && opkg update

Thanks to ian's troubleshooting here for pixey managed to finally install and get all, including 4od after copying it's latest file, working on my DM800HD-SE clone running Gjstroom's OpenPli. Also thanks to Phoenix and rest of the team for their gorgeous work, specially many intelligent menu options, speed choices, etc. itv and 4od crash sometimes but no biggie, guess their servers' links are in regular flux unlike BBC'S. BBC-iPlayer as my main use had a narrow thin strip of an icon compared to others. So I re-sized it and also stuck BBC on top of iPlayer and looks great:

To remove just use the BH uninstall panel.

if your using BH 2.0.2 there is no need to use any of the files in this thread as all the dependencies etc are in the image by default. just use the telnet command, but make sure if you have any older versions on the receiver to delete them first.

working fine here without causing a crash, but this is with the OE-Alliance version. Tried with both the iplayer and itv player, no crashes.

I have managed to install it on the latest official OE2.0 ICVS dreambox experimental image on my 7020HD but I am experiencing choppy sound quality. On the Iplayer when low quality is selected the sound is perfect. However, this is not related to my internet connection which is a fibre connection.

Does anyone have any experience in getting this fantastic plugin to work fully with the high quality mode for the Iplayer selected on an OE2.0 ICVS Dreambox image e.g. Merlin3/Oozoon.?

this is because you are trying to install a mips32el ipk into a mipsel image.

simply extract the ipk and install the package manually.

My python version is 2.6 where as inside the simplejson ipk it refers to /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/simplejson
Can I just rename it the 2.7 to 2.6 or does it need to reside in the 2.7 directory?

the 2.7 in the address is not relevant,its just telling you which python folder you send it to.

so if your running 2.6 then send it to python2.6/site-packages

the dependencies are not python specific as long as you have the .py files(human readable code)
when you reboot,your box will convert these into .pyo files(machine code)for your python version,in this case python 2.6

so delete any existing .pyo files just leaving the .py files and send those over.

you will then in site-packages have a new folder called simplejson which contains only the .py files,then when you reboot,you will see it also then contains the correct .pyo files for your python version.

dont forget to chmod these .py files to 644 before you restart your box.

Apologies in advance for what is probably a thick question. Read through this entire thread (more than once) but still not entirely sure I am getting this.

I have vu+ solo and would like to give this a try. I have never tried ondemand before. Before I try grateful if someone would be kind enough to clarify if I am going in the right direction please. Running blackhole 1.79

1. I have downloaded the files from post #163 that Ian and others have have developed and made available- thanks.

2. I send the simplejson ipk file to tmp and install.

3. The ondemand dependecies folder goes to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/OnDemand. Chmod 755. Reboot (I wasnt sure if I need to install the ipk file in #8 as well - which seems to create the "ondemand" folder.

4. Does the ondemand HDall images folder go in the same path as above?

Sorry for what is probably a very basic question but E2 is new to me i`m afraid.

It was saying Extensions/OnDemand (No module named decimal).
I found the decimal.py earlier in this thread that Ian had posted, and included that in the /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages and now all is working

Alternatively, how do I locate it in the BH addons menu?? I can't find it there unless it is masquerading under a pseudonym!!

this is for the devixified version.

navigate to

/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/OnDemand/

and then overwrite your existing file with this one

restart enigma2

try to read this whole thread again and take your time in doing so.

all the needed info is already in it.
use the latest devixified files that give you HD

after you have installed these file reboot your box then press menu followed by plugins
your box will then complain about which set of files are missing.install those files from this thread,then reboot and repeat,when it complains again about the next set of files,simply install those too,also obtained from this thread.

do this until it no longer complains.

the plugin and all of its dependencies are then installed for you and it should then work.

however when i goto 4od on the menu i just get : SEARCH / BACK

so ok i do a search for say super which will bring up super scrimpers and i press ok on it and i get this message with every single program on 4od

if I use the last fix posted by ian on my duo and select 4od in the ondemand plugin, I get the search but also get a list of programs as well, the search gives me super scrimpers and I can play and stop the programm, and can go back using the exit button to get all the way back the the OD menu giving me bbc iplayer as well as the others

so I dont get the problem you are getting using my duo running bh 2.01

as for your post, you should have mentioned that you had used the last fix in your opening post, as this thread has all kinds up updates and additions in it, perhaps you havent got everything you need installed ?

edit: it now gives me catergories on 4od on the 1st page but when i goto one it says no categories found!

im the person who did the fix and posted it here first,so if youve downloaded from another forum it will only be the same as the one posted here that someone else has downloaded and then uploaded there.im also the person who devixified your OE1.6 version that you said was originally working for you.

the chances are that its simply because you are using OE1.6

so i would suggest that you edit this file yourself talking your original 4OD.py and opening it up within gedit.

dont worry this fix is only editing just one line of code.

search in gedit for line 197

here you will find

pattern = u'/programmes/tags/(.+)'

change this to

pattern = u'/programmes/categories/(.+)'

save and then send the file back over to your box and then restart enigma2.

the problem your having is probably due to the way the url is called upon in that this fix for OE2.0 uses a function command and OE1.6 is incapable of understanding functions.

so if you do the above edit on your original file it should in theory be ok for you again.

when we first devixified the whole OnDemand plugin i was at the time using OE1.6 myself and what works with OE1.6 will also work with OE2.0 too as OE2.0 is backwards compatible.but of course the same is not the case the other way around.
as ive now updated i no longer have OE1.6 files to edit and the above fix was performed on an OE2.0 file.

because of this,after you have edited your original 4OD.py OE1.6 file yourself,and tested that it is indeed now working,perhaps you can then upload it here,clearly stating that its an edited file for OE1.6 images,for others to use ?

Right i did the edit on your 4od.py a page back and i still have the same problem?

and thats also restarting and prior i deleted the .pyo file aswell

on the 4od first page im seeing search and then what looks like categorys with like 4 in 1 cat and 180 in another and so on.
i click one of those and then it says no categorys found.

so instead i do a search then for anything to watch, i click on it and then its saying programme not available on PS3 / 4od ???

everything else works in this ondemand like itv/bbc but this 4od still needs tweaking somehow.
it appears its not understanding how to fetch the data and parse it to get to the next bit!?

so close its annoying..

your misunderstanding what im saying

the file one page back is an OE2.0 file and lacks the other changes needed to work on OE1.6 this file already has the edit done,but is not correct for your python version.
the file you downloaded from another forum is just the same file that i edited and so it to is also for OE2.0.

you need to perform this edit on your original OE1.6 file that used to work for you before this last edit was needed.
any files you find on the net will just be copies of the OE2.0 file that i edited and is posted 1 page back.
this is why you need to do it on your original file.

i did as follows just so were both on the same page...

Copied over OnDemand-HD All Images to ftp

then checked plugins and it moans about htmlenitity so upped that
upped html parser
upped markupbase

reboot and ondemand shows ok
but as said the Fourod wont work right as you keep saying edit my original well i cant as i never had that in the first place! the only one i have is from the OnDemand-HD All Images zip file.

So i still need this original fourod file.
i cannot install a working copy of ondemand via any IPK as it says installed or removed 1 plugin ok but nothing shows and creates no ondemand folder on the ftp!?

to be perfectly honest buddy i cannot replicate your problem and if i cannot replicate it,i cannot fix it.

the more i think about it,the more im pretty sure that we never created any OE1.6 files for the 4OD.
im quite sure that i moved over to OE2.0 before the 4OD was ever released.
and when i moved over i stopped needing OE1.6 edits.

why not move over to OE2.0 ?
its about time everyone did as OE1.6 is nearly dead now with little or no further support by the way of images or plugins.

anyway,regarding your problem,im confident after reading the code that you are getting an else error return.the code is written to give this message onscreen if you are for some reason unable to connect to the url

why this is i dont know,but its deffo only an OE1.6 problem as everything works perfectly with OE2.0

can you perform an enigma2 log in telnet and then post here what is happening when you use the 4OD plugin ?

Start a telnet session

Stop enigma2 with command: init 5
Start enigma2 log with command: enigma2 >enigma2_logfile.log 2>&1


Now the enigma2 logging is started, the file is stored in /home/root/


Stop logging with command: init 3
Start enigma2 with command: init 4

you seem to have a problem with your locale language file that is used in OE1.6

this is located in

/usr/lib/locale/en_EN/

nothing we can do to fix that as its an encoded file for the image.but the plugin is conflicting with this file.
you could perhaps backup this file and try replacing it with one from an Openpli 3.0 image,but thats not really the best idea as it could cause various other issues.

its this OE1.6 image file thats causing your problems though.

this leaves you with no option really but to update to OE2.0 if you wish to use 4OD
however,this does seem to suggest thats its not an OE1.6 problem entirely,but rather more of an OpenPli OE1.6 problem.other none OpenPli OE1.6 images could be ok ?

hmmm ive messed with that file beofre now but put original back as you say you do get problems with other things and end up green screening.

right ive tried to get hold of a dm800se sim 2.10 image OE2.0 but ive tried 2 out there but unfortunetly they wont work on a clone. it hangs half way through boot up even after reflashing the bootloader to rid the ca error.

any ideas of an oe2 image for clone m8?

after further investigation the 3player wont work either never finds the cats lol

so has anybody any ideas for me clone for oe2?

i presume youll need the oe 1.6

if you have problems then all the files are on here to get it working, i had to do it all manually and grabbed the bits from page 9 and worked my way through the errors after numerous box reboots and so forth.

cant help with the glass problem at the mo as i dont use that skin but here are the libs that you need.
both the libxslt.so.1 that your box complained about and the libexslt.so.0 which after you installed the first file is what your box will complain about upon the next reboot.

extract the rar then ftp both to /usr/lib/ and chmod to 755 then restart enigma2

i will look into the gi_userinfo issue tomorrow for you.

BBC Iplayer fix

extract the rar file,then delete your existing bbciplayer.py file and replace your existing bbciplayer.pyo file with the one attached.

restart enigma2.

job done.

EDIT: I also found that releases url but i was inputting it in the wrong place.

Here is the bbciplayer.py that will work with the ondemand one from page 9 of this thread.
so delete the bbciplayer.pyo off the ftp and copy this over and reboot.

Im guessing a bit more routing around on iplayer site? i came across the j@vascript on iplayer too so realised it was this url needed without embed.js :D

edit: just checked had to hit menu and enable the hd streams !!!!

Im loving this forum, credit where credit is due.

i was so close today myself in fixing it for myself but would have shared aswell ofc as its a must.
but i must say i am loving this forum because everybody is pulling together on a trivial plugin but it means alot to me and most that google for it.

its ashame really that it took me to start off the procedure and trying to sort it for meself because iplayer hasnt worked for about 3 days as i know of and im sure somebody must of noticed?

i checked the oe alliance bs and nothing! but i know ian knows a few tricks so thought id ask, whilst i was decoding bbc and the plugin ian had made a post about an hour or 2 after which i thought omg sweet, tried it on my box and didnt work moaned about somet missing so fort hmmmmm lets open that biatch in ++ and see what the heck, by this time i knew the relevant info anyway myself just wasnt sure of exactly where i was meant to be placing the url !!!!

all makes sense now and now at least ive learned something more today about rtmp.

i have also looked a great deal into rtmp *stuff* streams beforeand its obviously mentioned in the plugin aswell and its a handy place to use to retrieve/view streams.

im just glad its working again, dont know why the stupid bbc felt the need but we overcome it 1 way or another, else would of looked a bit daft having the rest and no main bit.

i also see 5od has been shelved? reason apparently is because of drm!!!! drm on that crap like neighbours i ask ya.... okie dokie

from personal experience the 1.6 works on blackhole images and all the files you need are on this thread

i've got solo2 image 2.0.3 bh everything in the plugin ondemand runs ok since the new update, but before and after for some reason ivtplayer will only play for a minute or so and just stops. does anybody else have this problem? or am i missing something ? if so what.

I don't think there is an open pli 3.0 for db 800hd unless someone has it working maybe the SE works im not willing to try it unless someone else has. Im not that good at un bricking sat boxes.

Is anyone having a problem with 4OD. I made the "categories" change and 4OD was working great up until mid last week. Now it does not bring down any categories which is simular to what happended before the last change. Anyone else having the same problem?

Unfortunately, it would appear that 4od have recently changed their player & flash is now required to view the content.
I notice that 4od is now available on the latest generation of Freesat boxes.

Hopefully, a fix will be found to allow us to enjoy 4od on our Enigma2 receivers. The library of programmes that is available on 4od is very impressive.

I cant see that having any impact on things as freesat receivers are closed source, there is a thread going on over on the ViX forum with a few ideas but so far few members willing to help in fixing the issue.

Mate, I just used the info from page 1 (I think its 10below) to get the ondemand installed. Then a few pages back iirc there's an update for the BBC .py module and instructions where to put it.
Lack of 4OD and 5OD have been discussed recently.

I am doing exactly what Ian tells above. But when I restart enigma2 OnDemand disappears from plugins menu. The onscreen message says "Some plugins are not available: Extensions/OnDemand (No module named CommonModules)". Can anyone help please?

Or alternatively, is it possible to get an updated version of OnDemand plugin with a fix for BBCiPlayer embedded in it?

I select a video and am then directed to a streams page with various options none of which work? The options are 1500 Limelight or 1500 Akamai etc? Hate to say it but it just works on the VIX (German for ****) image but I hate that image with a vengeance. So just wonder what I am missing on BH?

Donki that sounds like a really old version.

here's mine (its the last devixified version we wrote, taken straight from my box,so it has to work for you as long as you have all the dependencies installed)
with this version you start the plugin,then press the menu button to select your options,so select HD for streaming quality. none of this Limelight and Akamai rubbish anymore.

just overwrite your existing files with the ones attached.or better still completely delete the folder you have now,restart,then send mine over chmod and restart once more.

Donki m8 - check your PM, I have sent you a pre setup duo 2+ image - you just need to tweak your motor settings and you should be good to go.

you dont appear to be able to obtain the stream data using the existing itvplayer.

try this one that ive modified slightly.
overwright your existing file with the one ive attached then restart E2

if this doesnt work for you then its an issue in the new BH image and someone such as cokeaddict or sonic who use this image will need to look at this for you,simply because im not using it,so cannot test it.

i dont understand what you have done.why have you unistalled the version that you previously had working ?

all i posted was a slightly modified py file for itvplayer which i asked you to install by overwriting your existing itvplayer.py file ! all other files were to be left untouched.

if saintomers ipk file is now not working for you then i suggest you remove the ondemand folder completely,then restart E2,then send over the ondemand i posted the post before his ipk file,and then restart E2 again.

still,i totally fail to understand what you have done here,all you were asked to do was overwrite one py file as a test to see if the slightly modified py would fix your problems with the itvplayer,but instead you have removed other files that were previously working for you,and now as a result they are not.

ps each of the logs you have posted all suggest different problems so i would delete all existing logs from your hdd and start again with fresh ones,but from what i can see you have a problem with the selector bar icons.do you even have the ondemand icons installed ? because the logs are stating that they cannot be found.
