Hi, What a great site, stumbled across it after years of not being able to find "pctailor" I have an old V2 bought from ebuyer in 2009 modded it to take TT7 but the maps are so out of date that it is almost useless. I have downloaded some newer maps and BBS tools, problem is I don't know how to use it and the help files appear to be in Spanish. I have read through what I think are the posts relating to the problem and am still no wiser. Could someone help please?
here's what the bif file says on my V2,

[TomTom NAVIGATOR]

you only joined today so you cannot have spent enough time here reading the relevant threads

plenty of info in this forum telling you how to do it

like this thread here

https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?153529-HOWTO-Install-TomTom-7910-onto-F-amp-H-GPS35LS

either use bbs tools to activate the map on your sdcard , or use the easy activator tool instead

there are several relevant threads, so just follow them

All the relevant info is here ,but you need to read up on it before you start . The only thing you need from the bif file you added is this :

DeviceUniqueID=AACHG75WNW .....................the 10 digit code.

I just use the older program for patching called Easytools , has allways worked for me .good luck

Hi there i have finally remembered my password to this site,i have requested password reminders numerous times but it doesnt send any .
Anyway i also have a navigo v2 3.5" and i installed the latest maps about 4 year ago,is it possible still to update these sd cards with the latest tomtom maps please ? I am pretty thick when it comes to these things so if its possible to provide any links for me that would be great ,preferably with pictures lol

Many thanks for any help.

all there is has been included in the sticky threads at the top of this forum, also you can only use the maps for pda`s and so those may be one or two years old now too

just follow the sticky threads infos and you can still use it, but may not be any 2013 maps for it, so maybe only older maps

I use a cheap tomtom one now , that can use newer maps as can be seen from our tomtom forum

Yes ,you can still update the v2's with the latest TT maps . You will need an activator ,map ,m-e-t-a file using the uniqueID number from your bif file .
Read up on the guides on the forum first before attempting .

just charged mine up and booted it

it has os 7.910 navcore on it

and the maps are 905_4800 for uk + ireland

I suppose there may be newer maps but not tried the pda versions as I decided to buy a cheapo tomtom one v3 and use a patched navcore and even newer maps etc

but it tells you how far I got with it at the time
