S4000 Timeshift not working when watching back a recorded programme

Just wondered if anyone else has come across this - is it a known bug and was it introduced with one of the more recent software upgrades? I'm sure that the timeshift function used to continue when I started to watch a recording, but this no longer happens - when I stop playback the buffer is empty and immediately starts to fill up.

I'm currently using the last but one firmware - ie not the one that was released a couple of days ago, the previous one.

If anyone knows how to fix this I'd be grateful. If not, are Icecrypt aware of it or should I be flagging it up to them?

My best advice...save your time and annoyance. Ice have been flagged more times regarding errors than speed cameras flagging cars. At least with the latter you know where you stand... Points and a fine through the door. With ice, it falls on deaf ears leaving you wondering.
