Also in the North of England, but still trying to find the bird! Which is the strongest transponder/channel for you Satcat?

Spider 9000 IRTE 2 metre prime focus dish Invacom 0.3dB, Signal 61% Quality 66% SW England. Not quite the same position as other 7W sats. Needed to tweak the sat position slightly. Clear pictures. Great while it lasts. Reni

Its booming in here with my 1.25mtr, it must be for testing only, as soon as they want to use it they will refocus the beam tighter so most of us lose it.

I am up in the Borders (UK) with 1m dish and Spiderbox 9900 and struggling! One issue is my motor (Superior Dark Motor) USALS table is somehow screwed up. I am using echelon's file list, but when I select a channel on 7W, and then check with the motor, its actually pointing at 4.5W. I have tried pressing E and W buttons on the motor for 5 secs (supposedly to reset sat table) but still 4.5W is where it goes to. Limits are not an issue, I can go to 30W perfectly. Anyone know how to access the sat table to reset to 7.3W?

I've just tried 7W again. It seems to come in a little better at this time of day. I can pick up both H & V transponders either side of it, but stil not 12467H.

Paulus. You say that the motor says it is pointing at 4.5W. That dosen't mean that the dish is pointing 4.5W. It all depends what you longtitude is. Just try fine tuning the dish on a strong transponder.

(If you longtitude is 2.5W and motor says 4.5W then dish is pointing 7W)
Also in Motor setup change Satellite position from 7.0W to 7.3W

Thanks satcat. Yes my longitude is 2.9W so 4.5 takes me to 7.4W which is about right. Hence, unfortunately, I am getting zilch on any transponder!!

You should be able to pick something up at least but as with anything there are factors involved, Satellite equipment used, Line of Sight, Any nearby interference etc...
