and Replace it with

Basically what's happened is the xml file was updated prior to last release
But its created some duplications of some sats & missed others out??

Ive created a new xml file which has been checked

Download & unrar
Remove current xml file from settings file
replace the new xml file in the enigma 2 file
Open up file using dreamset or dreambox edit & all should be well

I have just downloaded the latest settings file (thanks Catseye :respect-054:) and noticed something that I hadn't spotted before. I have been making my own picons and have been building them based on the channel details from ABM. It seems that the service reference IDs on 28.2e are different on some channels, which means that my picons don't match up with this settings file. I check them in dreamboxEdit while I'm making them, to make sure they match.

That probably all sounds confusing, so the attached image should explain it better. CBeebies HD on my receiver is shown as 1_0_19_22E4_80D_2_11A0000_0_0_0, that's the value from ABM, but in the latest (and previous) settings file, it is shown as 1_0_19_22E4_80D_2_11A2B10_0_0_0.

Does this mean that one channel can have different service reference IDs in different channel settings? Or has there been a switch on certain channels to newer IDs since this file was made?

All going well apart from BBC news HD and BBC Four HD frequency. Firstly you are using an old version m8
Download & unrar the latest files from here(most recent dated ones)

Send settings to your box using dreamset or dreambox edit & reboot box
Also some of the other sat sites upload them to their panels so you can download direct to box(but always check the dates first)
Try this & feed back how it goes
If the problem persists it maybe the xml file on vix image is causing a conflict with my settings but we will wait & see how you get on

Sorry, I had no idea there had been a reply on this until today when I got a notification about 6 new posts... that didn't include yours.

I'm not quite sure what's going on with some channels to be honest. Since I updated to that settings file, I have lost the ability to get any EPG data on the Hotbird channels I watch. But I don't know where the problem is. CrossEPG seems to be fairly flaky ATM and I have had all sorts of problems with Vix too. I did a full image restore and it turned my 4GB USB drive into the hard drive, and set the hard drive as something completely different.

I will see if there's a later settings file from what I am using, and see how that goes. I've lost another couple of picons recently, so there's obviously been some further channel changes through ABM.

I recommend you rescan the 11585H and 12545H transponders on 28.2e. Even though the channels work fine, the service references are the old temporary ones, and are preventing the use of OpenTV 7 day EPG data for all channels on those two transponders. These are the only two transponders in your list I have found this issue with.

Check how you have set up your software that you use to send settings to your box
If you use dreamset set it as enigma2 version 3 & see how that goes

From what ive read elsewhere it seems there will be many changes transponder wise

As soon as they have finished I will release updated file

Best thing to do in meantime

Do a full 28.2 east scan & select clear before scan option

Get settings on screen

Select green button for satellites
Select 28.2 eutelsat/astra
You will find all channels old & new listed in alphabetical order
Scroll up/down to find the ones you want that are working ok & select to view

What box do you have, out of interest??
Go to feeds, and download, and install Autobouquet.
Easy to set up, perform a NIT scan, and you will see the duplicated bouquets in your channel list.
All will be back mate.

Just to say guys there wont be a release of updated files this weekend (26.04.15) due to ongoing changes at 28.2 East

Hopefully by next weekend the satellite operators will have finished moving channels around

In the meantime follow instructions in post 281 if you lose anything else

Ive just had a quick look on king of sat & 11778V is a data only transponder so would guess its not included in the transponder list but is in the xml file

If you can, install AutoBouquets from box plugins feeds, configure and run it.
Don't forget to set your SD region!
It may help.

The movie channels can now be found on 11934V SR 27500 FEC 5/6

Many transponders on 28.2 will be migrating over to the new sat astra 2G so some viewers outside UK maybe affected

Download dreamset v2.39 & use to send the file of choice to your box
Make sure its set as enigma2 ver4
Reboot sat box

Just in case some of you are wondering why you can no longer receive SD channels from the Canal Sat France package @ 19.2 East...

From today they have started to transfer all of their SD channels to HD so eventually this package will only be available to those with DVB S2 receivers :eek:

I had trouble on 2 boxes with signal lock until I changed the fec from auto to manual 3/4 and then they were fine (with a feed , lol)

This is not so much a bug, but more of a quirk I have just noticed. I have just flashed my Duo2 with the ViX Hades 015 release, copied your settings file over and the system stripped every single '=' out of the settings. As I am sure you can imagine, this removes every separator marker and heading prefix/suffix, and makes it really awkward to find split points for each satellite group. You can remake all the split markers on the box, so it's not a case of the '=' character being an invalid character.

I must confess, given recent attitudes towards your settings files by them, my initial reaction was that it could be a deliberate action to make your settings files *less compatible* with their image, thereby encouraging users to use settings files from their downloads. Although based on what has happened to the Autobouquetmaker, it could just be messed up bouquet management in this release... not sure.

I'm going to try and create some more split markers using different characters, and then to send the settings file back across, to see if it is just '=' that is the problem. Just wanted to give you a heads up that your files seem to be being modified, once they have been transferred to a box running ViX Hades.

I'm going to try and create some more split markers using different characters, and then to send the settings file back across, to see if it is just '=' that is the problem. Just wanted to give you a heads up that your files seem to be being modified, once they have been transferred to a box running ViX Hades.

I think there is your answer
Its something vix have done (maybe without realising) to remove the seperators

use the box bottom right and choose lamedb and then select it

his channel list will then load into dreamset , I have been doing this all week testing different images on a solo2

make sure you select enigma 2 , v4 (http reload too)

Some of you may be experiencing issues when using one of the most recently released files
Catseye E2 Settings 75 East-61 West 12.07.15 especially with Black Hole image

If this applies to you -use the following method to fix

Open up unzipped /download file
You will see a huge list
Every file you see with ending _org you can delete it
Close down the amended file
Open with dreamset or dreambox edit & send to your sat box

Alternatively, a new updated file will be out shortly for those whom prefer to wait

ITV Yorkshire HD - comes back with a number and not the channel name within the bouquet (and also no listing information). I ran a automatic channel search but no luck. The channel also displays the time (like teletext) at the top of the screen and worse of all it thinks its ITV HD Granada!!!! I live in Yorkshire lol.

I've double checked my list against Lyngsat Flysat & King of Sat sites & can see nothing missing from Max Tv on 16 East

At present they broadcast on 11512H 11595H & 11678H frequencies & have approx 77 channels as part of their package

Try using Dreamset as its lay out is a bit easier to use the dream box edit

You are absolutely right some of the 19.2 east channels are included in the Skylink package

Reason being is those of whom subscribe have their dishes positioned inbetween the 2 sats so as to receive channels from both

In fact, if I had just pressed the blue button on my remote I would have seen these channels were part of Skylink, but on 19.2e:

15 West is still there -It was replaced by Telstar 12 Vantage with the transponders switching over last month

If you select satellites & scroll down its listed there -It is no longer included it the favourites section though

no mate, in the list it still has channel 5, the sd version. Although pressing green and listing alphabetically 28.2 east channels you can see 5HD there, but the bouquests themselves are not acutally updated

I've sent another guys channel list to the receiver and it fails to install after transferring fine, because it still shows your older channel lists after reboot, although it removes the cable bouquest, it appears not to want to remove your bouquet!

Send channel list to box (most recent dated file)
Press ok on r/c & arrow up/down key
So it displays list of channels on screen
Press Blue button on remote
& scroll across packages etc until you see
Catseye E2 Settings etc -look at the date does it say 08.05.16

Then go back to the tab under favouries Sly uk/freesat & select
1st channel in list is BBC 1 West Midlands
5th channel should say Channel 5HD

It maybe somehow the software on your box has become corrupt
So best to reflash & start again

Let us know how it goes

alright mate, I leave dhcp off as I don't like either boxes i.p to change as it messes up the mount and stops me accessing each receivers hard drives from the other receiver. I might have to try and use dreamset instead of dreamedit. First I will probably wipe the software of one receiver and try and start everything from scratch, thanks for getting back to.

Guys I have looked into this
As they are feeds it is really difficult to add to a static list
searching is bit like looking for a needle in a haystack tbh

I will try again to today as the only static bit of info re broadcasting is Hellas Test Card on 12590V

Only 1 broadcast 'live' as i type

According to Flysat there should be broadcasts on SR of 4937 & 7200 but nowt at present

Its not a problem add this info to the list as such
But feeds (unless used regualrly for news etc) in general change so frequently it an impossible task to keep updated

Must be something wrong with your set up
The SR rate is set for the whole transponder which is 29900
If Astra (who own the sat) changed the SR -it would alter for every channel on that one transponder

What box are you using?
Normally you select the button on r/c such as Ok/up key on a vu box
Then you would select green for sat with channels list in alpha bet order or blue for favourites bouquet

Have you set your sat configuration properly? So it works with sats you want to view?

Almost all their TV channels broadcast in HD
WHich I think is a first for a European Pay TV provider
All their channels broadcast on DVB S2 transponders

Orange France still has some SD channels but as with the above many are now HD

Exception being at present the regional French TV channels. I have read they will broadcast in HD only at some point in the future

11973V is Skylink package -they changed modulation to DVB S2 last year -Dont think they use DVB S any more
11739V operated by Canal Digitaal again moved to DVB S2 ages ago

11185V is listed as 19.2 East not 23.5 East

Are you referring to BVN on 19.2 East but is listed in the 23.5 East list (Canal Digitaal package)??
If so in Holland the Dutch have dishes set with dual LNB's so they can receive both 23.5 & 19.2 East
Also Canal Digitaal are migrating their channels to Astra 23.5 so eventually they wont be on Astra 19.2 East

They are not under the favourites sections though
If you call the list up on your screen & select the sat (13 East)
Scroll through & you will find everything broadcast on Hotbird 13 in alphabetical order

Not sure why, but in the 'Satellites' list quite a few (not all) of the satellites on the western horizon appear duplicated in the list. The eastern birds all seem fine. I checked the 'satellites.xml' and they're not duped in there. I remember the first time I noticed this a while back, and it was just '0.8W' that was duplicated. Anyone else have this issue?

Cheers. Each dupe contains a different set of channels for that particular satellite, so you can sometimes end up looking through two lists for the same satellite to find a single channel (particularly with 0.8W and 30W). If you delete one of the dupes, you end up losing a bunch of channels for that satellite. The only way I can fix this is by doing a full retune for the duped satellite (this gets rid of the dupe), then rebuild the bouquet the same way you have it laid out. But it's a painstaking process (particularly redoing the bouquets for 0.8W and 30W). I'm guessing there is some kind of reference issue in the 'lamedb' causing the dupes.

What a backwards step.

Of course if broadcasters stop showing 3D then demand for 3D will fall.
We should be going forwards not backwards with technology and with the new 4K TVs showing how much better the pictures are than 1080p then just imagine how great 3D would look on a 4K projector on something like an 80 inch upwards screen.

Think 3d ok for cinemas but not for home use

4k again is better quality but again it will only take off it becomes the industry standard
Here in UK we are still running services in very poor quality SD let alone HD
As people think having 1000's of channels of crap quality is great compared to having a few of HD
Plus some UK broadcasters convince the public they should pay extra for HD in 2017!
& whilst they are willing to pay there's no pressure to change

Oh not to forget Sky Germany advertising two 4K Channels but in reality only 1 of them broadcasts ( they change from Bundesliga UHD to Sport UHD and back )

Plus some UK broadcasters convince the public they should pay extra for HD in 2017!
& whilst they are willing to pay there's no pressure to change
Same here in Germany look for example at HD+
we have to pay for it to watch Advertising in HD cause the main Program is
only an Upscale from SD to HD it´s a shame

Think 3d ok for cinemas but not for home use



You are right when it comes to 3D on a small TV screen of only up to around 65 inches but go to a relatively small 84 inch screen like I have or up to around the 100+ ones that many have, then 3D is probably better at home than in the cinema, as you have none of the distractions caused by other people and you will probably have a better audio set up at the correct volume for yourself, which makes for a far better experience than you would ever get in a cinema, until they start having holographic setups.

It´s part of the HD+ Package but needs a additional subscription
they Broadcast the Friday Night Games and the,new added this season,i guess 5 Monday Bundesliga Games.

I can confirm this issue for the All Sats and Astra UK Dutch German Sats List the others i don´t test
there are 2 Sky German Lists in the Settings but booth are the SD List the HD is missing

When Ive opened up settings on Pc desktop is says Sky Germany SD x2

My problem might be an issue for Catseye but can anyone confirm that the two Italian services on the Swiss transponder at 11526H at 13E are in any of the lists. Whatever I do I can't seem get these.

I've just noticed that the current version of satellites.xml appears to have the wrong data for the above Tx according to Lyng*** and KoS; they show it is now an HD service with S2 and SR 29700 and FEC 2/3.

I have tried manually updating that Tx and then re-scanning it on the box (zGemma 2S) but it fails to find any channels so I am hoping someone else can supply a lamedb with them included.

Reason for wanting them is that now there are clashes between F1, tennis and skiing the three different language services sometimes show different events.

Just checked it out
In the E2 file everything is as it should be
Just tested the channels & all working fine with no signal issues
IS it just that one transponder you are having problems with?

Sometimes these boxes do strange things tbh
Switch off box & reboot from scratch

I've had this before with 'no signal' message when they should have been fine

According to Lyngs@t the missing channels should be called RSI La 1 and 2 plus SRF Info then a whole host of radio channels.

I do a few reboots after I change the system files but when doing a manual single Tx scan 11526H still shows as an SD channel with SR 27500 3/4 in my satellites.xml file. I'm beginning to think that I have lamedb and satellites.xml files in more than one location (the zGemma doesn't follow the Dreambox standard file locations) and I'm updating the wrong versions.

Added: In your latest all satellites.xml file the dodgy Tx still shows as:

Could you try doing a satellite scan on 13 East to see if that fixes the problem

I've sent you an PM with data for Hellas 3 (39E) TXs for possible inclusion in future satellites.xml files.

I suspect the crashing I mentioned is due to the very high symbol rates on some TXs as high as 30,000,000. Not sure all boxes can handle that.

TBH its going that way
There wasn't a lot of activity before the lockdown

I would imagine with finances being hit hard there will a lot of channels disappearing
Especially the minority & low audience ones

Just to advise some of the ITV HD channels changed transponders this week

If you region was affected the old & new ones were under the freesat section under the ITV regions section

But there have been some new ITV HD regions testing this week

So should mean there are only 2 ITV regions not in HD (Channels Islands & Borders ) left to switch

The changes have been added to updates
