installing TSpanel

I have tried to install TSpanel.
I ftp ipk in temp and then found it in 'Manually install IPK'.
I installed normally and all shows that ipk was installed, when I look for the plug in, i do not find it.
I am running my vu solo bh in avalon universe
Any solution please.

it will be in your solo.
manually install
It will now be in Plugins.

I have ftp to temp but when i go to manually install ipk it says that there is nothing to install (using dcc)

(VU+ Control centre)
Try FTP the TSPanel
with that.

update to 6.9.

The ones i found on this forum start from 5.1

There is no need to install 4.5 then upgrade just install the latest 6.9 using the instructions given by the author, follow this exactly & it will work 100%

1. Put ipk file in /tmp directory.

2. Enter this is telnet (copy & paste).


opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/enigma2-plugin-extensions-tspanel_6.9_mips32el.ipk

According to version you may need to change mips32el to e.g mispel for oe1.6

3.Reboot machine

Tested many times on all VU+ images.

Can I ask a couple of perhaps stupid questions about this TSpanel:
1 Is it the same as the Toysoft panel that clone boxes used as it had amongst other things patched EMU's to run on clones?
2 What advantage does it bring?
I suppose I should install it to find out myself but I found that installing oscam on my solo 2 was a doddle, just simply FTP'ed my existing files over and added the start script posted by Echelon.

1) no idea about toysoft panel

2) its has tools and links for all kinds of addons like plugins , emus, skins , channel lists

it also contains diagnostic tools like crashlog reader , various backup tools etc

lastly, there are screengrabs that show you some of those options in the actual thread here
