Can someone give me the dummies guide to upgrading my 930.

I have a 930 and would like to upgrade the maps but I really need the dummies guide.

Considering the price of this from tomtom and the cost of a new Tomtom I think they are rip off.

Map: 8v850.2781 western europe.

The SD card slot is free.

Any help would be appreciated.

With that version of Navcore you can just use one of the tools available on the forum to patch the ttsystem file. Then find a suitable map that has a me-ta file info with it & then use an activation tool to activate the map. There is one tool posted in this section in the new guide (quite old now) thread - or another tool is the bbs tools also posted in this section.
There are now some v905 maps available, but I've not long got back from a long holiday & not really had time to get them yet.
Make sure you make a full back up copy before you make any changes.

Now posted the new v905 UK & RoI maps + UK v905 postcode files , you should be able to use the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland v905.4754 map
