Hi there i was given a Foehn & hirsch satnav from a friend in work as he could not get it working, thanks to you guys and your excellent tutorials
i was able to install Tomtom on it tonight, my problem is the final part of setting up the GPS, the part in bold
Getting GPS Signal to work
Load the TomTom Software by pressing “GPS” from the main screen.
Once the TomTom software has loaded press anywhere on the screen to bring up our main menu.
Chose “Change preferences”
Click the right arrow until you see the option “Show GPS status” and select it.
Click “Configure” at the bottom left.
Select “Other NMEA GPS receiver”
Set GPS baud rate to 38400 (com7) and click “Done”
Click “GloNav GPS Driver”
Click done
during my set-up i did not see this
i do get a signal but its weak atm
is the weak signal just down to bad weather (wait and see)
not a very good satnav
or do i need this driver.
many thanks and sorry if its a noob question.
