black hole hardrive problem

have lateset blackhole image but having promlems with hardrive
have done it through usb wizard formated , have initialiased

have it in hardrive disk panel, but not coming up in device manager so cannot mount it.

Format it once again via VCC and don't bother with any further work arounds. If the hdd is not faulty I'm sure you'll be able to use it properly afterwards ....

It seems like you're using an external usb hdd and not a sata internal one. When formatting whichever disk you want with VCC, it gives you several options as to how it is connected to the box. You have to choose the one you need in your particular case. Make sure you select the right one and then format it yet once again ....

it is external usb hdd and i am formating in vcc as
Vu+ Duo / Ultimo / Uno - 1st USB Hard Drive (External USB HDD) with NO Internal SATA Drive Installed.
is that right?

Looks like you're doing it the right way so maybe your hdd has a problem. On the other hand you don't happen to have TSpanel installed in your image by any chance ??? It gave me all sort of problems with external hdd's with the latest BH images that I had to reflash and forget all about it for the time being. Maybe someone else could also comment on this ....

i do have ts panel.
will move to another image never had a problem with hardrive when using vix image .
