I am having major trouble keeping my catseyes favourite lists running on the latest HDMU image. The image was freshly downloaded the other day and also the channel list.Today loads of channels say n/a and the names are replaced with dvb.Channels are working but I dont really fancy having to send the channel lists over to the box every few days.Anybody else had the same experience? If so,any ideas where I'm going wrong? This box is not quite what I'd hoped.I can see it being mothballed when funds allow me to purchase a VU or similar!

Assuming it runs on enigma 2 or enigma 1

After you send the file to your box its best to reboot

Then check your sat config & make sure its set up for each satellite you wish to view

Menu/set up/service searching/tuner configuration/

Tuner A set to 'advanced'
Tuner B equal to Tuner B

Select Tuner A
Configuration mode=advanced
Satellite =28.2 east
lnb =lnb1

Then use left/right keys on r/c when on satellite & make sure for each sat you want to view is set to same LNB (assuming you only have one lnb)

I had trouble with them using E2 on the s4000 by usb stick

as you correctly say, its better to mothball or put aside the ice boxes and buy a decent box that uses those lists correctly, like the vu, in my case a duo but a solo2 is also an excellent choice

if you read through the posts and threads on here you will find many vexed ice owners, who eventually will migrate away from these boxes and onto the vu`s

I have no problems with the same catseye lists on the vu or dreambox receivers

Leave your tuner config alone mate, you're motorised not a static dish.

Thanks for taking the time to try to help. I'm sure it's not a problem with your lists, in fact when they're working they're a godsend as the missus & kids are able to zap easily. As TK4/2/2 says though, my setup is motorised using USALS so I don't think I will need to set each sat like the way you suggest. All has been well for a few days and then loads of channels in the favourites change to n/a. They are all still working and the name comes back after you change to that channel. I have a feeling that it's a software issue or poor hardware. I will have limp along until I can afford something better.
Thanks Echelon for your empathy! Icecrypt should really take note and properly roll out E2 as an update for all their outdated machines.
Thanks TK4/2/2 for helping sort out my system and putting it right when I tinker!!
