Icecrypt S3500 switching off failure

Hi, this is the second of my posts today regarding my Icecrypt S3500.

When I switch off my recorder I sometimes get the sound stay on/start-up again but the box indicates that it is off i.e. red button and blank screen.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem is and if I can do something to stop it happening? I think it locks the box up if left like this.

Although I have updated the firmware a number of times I have yet to update it to the latest copy as every time I do it I loose my settings and it takes hours to reset them.

yet another thread I have had to move from the firmware section (which is for for firmware files only) to the icecrypt discussions forum (ICECRYPT)

Use porter with null modem cable. Run flash and then firmware (files available on icecrypt website). Should sort the problem out. Regarding yr settings, back up to usb by choosing the option within the icecrypt menu & then restore once new firmware loaded.
