BH 2.02 rev D Backup's

Hi,

Can somebody please kindly explain or point me in the right direction about the differences between a Full Backup, Personal Backup, Software Management or using the BackupSuite 12.x pluggin on a Vu Ultimo BH2.02 Rev D?

Also noticed that there is no restore option for the Full Backup, unless it available under Software Management.

for starters read the dummies sticky thread at the top of this forum

if a full backup has been done , then the restore option from a full backup is done from a suitable usb stick containing the files in the correct folder plugged into the front of the box just the same as how an initial flash of the box was done from a clean bootup from power off status as detailed in section 1

Does that usb stick have to have a text file called backupstick.txt stored on it?

not that I know of, although it should not make any difference either way

If you have a HDD the store the backup on that. I have often had problems with backup on the USB stick especially when restoring the settings
