Below is comparison of various generations of Channel Master matching feed horns on my Channel Master 1.2 dish. Location: Copenhagen, Denmark.
I used two different satellites for benchmarking to have objective results (I am at the edge of the footprints for both of them):
- 36E (Eutelsat 4W and Eutelsat 7W);
- 28.2E (Astra 2F and 1N).
Results of the test are attached.
As a result of the test:
- CM feedhorn performed better than others in the range 11.7-12.7 both in linear and circular polarizations, which seems to be pretty much in accordance with the attached Datasheet from Skyware (one of the manufacturers of CM equipment);
- There is marginal difference between Andrew and Raven feedhorns. Andrew feed horn seems to have performed marginally better.
Special thanks to cosworth4x4 for providing Andrews feed horn for the test! :)
