Having problems here. This is my constant.cw file with keys removed:

Chelsea Tv (CTV) 11387 V

2600:000000:0005:01F4:1FFF::XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX ;Chelsea TV (10.0°E)
2600:000000:0005:01F4:1FFF::XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX XX ;Chelsea TV (10.0°E)

I'm using cccam230 in a Vu+ Duo, constant.cw placed in usr/keys. I've tried file permissions 600, 644 & 755. None of them are working. Do I need to change anything?

Thanks
Steve

Thanks mate, tried deleting one but still no joy. I'm restarting cccam, but getting nowhere. Which of the file permissions should it be (tried them all - 600, 644 & 755).

BTW no other BISS lines are in my constant.cw

Hope this is on topic but this has been driving me crazy for a couple of months now and I stillhavent got BISS working. People have been really helpful on here and I am learning as I go but one of my questions was what the ch mod actually does in terms of file permissions.

644 gives some access to the file. 755 gives greater access and 777 gives full access. Is it hierarchical like that or do the different values give subtly different properties to the file?

use mgcamd for this..It will read from the softcam.key

Hope this helps

using mgcamd 1.38 myself ,,,,no issues opening channels with keys,,,,,,,,,,,had problems with cccam,,,,,,hence the change to mgcamd
softcam file permissions are set to 644

do you have the correct key which ends in "B418"

Hi

Have a Look at your constant.cw File in /usr/keys
The Sid for Chelsea Tv is 0005 if you have any other Channel
with the same Sid infront of Chelsea Tv in the List it would
not Work CCcam uses in that case the 1th Channel with Sid 0005
and donīt decode any other with the same Sid

Do you have the correct key which ends in "B418" - yes
if you have any other Channel with the same Sid in front of Chelsea TV in the List it would not Work - only this line in the constant.cw
