av settings problem

I seem to have a problem with the av setting, when I set it to 1080i the picture goes to a little box in the topnleft corner. if I set it to 720p I have a big black line down thebright hand side of the screen. no matter what I set it kto it never fits the screen.

both the show content settings are set to 'just scale'

any ideas what I am missing

You don't say what image, but I am using black hole and have no problems.
I would say have you tried re-loading the image.
My Sony has 5 hdmi and I have to make sure after initial load I tell the image which hdmi and that's in the advanced settings or I get a rubbish picture.

I am using blackhole. Iv got a feeling the settings aren't suitable for my tv tbh.
