Hi all,

Just wondered what everyone would say was the best satellite receiver to watch sports like Football, Formula One, Boxing etc and I mean in terms of the ability to unscramble and modify to get the most out of the satellite receiver...?

Thanks in advance

that would very much depend on how much money you are looking @ spending

depends if you want single tuner or multiple tuners, linux or bespoke ,
"embedded gift" or no "gift" (ie:- maybe obtain your own "gift")

they more or less all open the same channels with softcams and biss keys, but there may be a few exceptions

I would say the vu duo2 or solo2 are the best at the moment for linux boxes

and the spider 6000 HD is cheap and has a "gift" , as do the black panther with iks or some of the protek boxes have their own "gift"

or the tm5402 HD is recommended too , or a blade 7000s HD (similar to the tm) - but no "gift"

I am sure others will have their own ideas on this

but it definitely depends on hardware, budget , and your requirements too

Thanks echelon! Sorry to sound stupid but what's a "gift"?

Your best bet is to search the internet, for information on card sharing, C Lines and CCCam, but please do not ask for any direct information, on the forum.

I would also research sports feeds, as there are quite a few satellites that do show feeds, and how to view 4:2:2 feeds.

Can you please supply some more information, your general location, e.g. North East UK, the size of dish you have and if it is fixed or motorized.

just buy a protek hd box ,plenty of bouquets /channels opening, no need to bother with cccam then imho

i find it helpful to browse the forum , the sat receiver section is full of helpful information .

it just not a case of one box fits all .

check out the tutorial section for different boxes , they will explain what can be done and how hard it is .
