F&H Sat Nav update

I have the an F&H satnav but it does not recognize door numbers, would an update fix this? And how do I update it? I got it from a friend of mines and I'm not sure how to update it.

in answer to your question, it depends which navigation tool and maps its using, and the actual model type (version) and it sounds like it would need the maps to be updated

if its using the original tools and maps (turbodog) I dont think they have been updated for years

the only other method is to hack it and use tom tom or similar, and there are sticky threads here about doing this task or tasks
