Clear Memor Plugin Frozen & Unable Uninstall

Hi. I've got a Vu Solo2 running Vix image and I recently installed the Clear Memory Plugin (https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?154901-clear-memory-plugin) using the IPK installer function from Vu Control Centre 0.7. Now I know it has installed succesfully because after rebooting, it displays on the screen 'ClearMem Status Stopped'. Only thing is that the message won't go away! I've tried rebooting and it's still there. I've tried to remove the plugin, but the plugin is not even in my plugin list! I've tried reinstalling Clear Memory using USB stick, but still the same thing!

It seems I've fixed it! There was a 'Setup ClearMem' option in Setup>System which allowed me to enable it and get rid of it from the screen.

why on earth would you feel the need to instal this plugin on a solo2 ?

its needed for first gen boxes,but a solo2 ?
