Yes. Inside is a transparency (film). Remove this film.

EDIT: couldnt wait for your answer and was bored, so I took it apart, and lo and behold, there it was a thick piece of bluey\purple plastic.

What jokers at opensat!!! it even had glue on, so was it by design to put this LCD dimmer on!??
