Hey folks, It's possible to run E2 on your Icecrypt S3550HDCCI (among others) using the following howto.
I've been running it for a couple of weeks now, and it works really well.
Warning: Any modifications you may make are at your own risk, and I do not accept any responsibility for bricking your box.
There is a significant amount of risk updating the bootloader via USB, I didn't really mind
This involves flashing a newer updated bootloader to your device,
First up, the Icecrypt S3550HDCCI is actually an Octagon SE918GSE+.
This solution is a USB booting solution, I use an 8gb stick.
I do not know how to permanently replace Icecrypt's own software, but it will still reside on the receivers flash memory.
You will need windows to do this.
Step 1: download R-ID_Changer_v10.7z - google it.
Step 2: download Leviathan Reseller ID changer - google it.
Step 3: download UpdateLoader.Octagon.SF918GSEplus .L7.06.zip
Step 4: (this is where it gets tricky) - you need to modify the bootloader you just downloaded, i.e. change from the Octagon ID to the Icecrypt ID.
If you open Leviathan Reseller ID changer, and load the bootloader in that program it will give you the Octagon reseller ID. I can't recall the exact ID,
but I do know it has **01**. The Icecrypt reseller ID is very similar, you just swap the 01 to 10, so your Icecrypt reseller ID will be **10*** (it's really that simple).
Step 5: Using R-ID_Changer_v10.7 you can create a new Reseller ID in that program (looks like Icecrypt didn't make the cut :) ).
When you create a new Reseller ID, you must use the **10*** code.
Create the modified bootloader using this code. this is very simple.
Step 6: You have two options: you can flash this bootloader over Null Modem (that is a crossover serial modem) or put the file on an empty usb disk (risky) and boot from this.
If you decide to go down the USB bootloader updating route, pop in the USB stick in the receiver, turn the receiver off, and back on, holding the ch+ button on it's front.
This will update the bootloader.
Congrats!
You're now on bootloader 7.06 which allows booting from usb based images.
Step 7: choose your enigma image you'd like to boot to by visiting

I use HDMU_11047_E2_918gse+_207_git_548 2_nodebug_Diff0_gst_USB.zip
The md5 file is just for checksumming purposes. I didn't bother downloading it.
Step 8: using the same usb stick you had before, make sure it's empty (remove the bootloader image from the root directory), extract the zip file you just downloaded to the
root of the drive (should be two files).
Step 9: Put the USB stick into the receiver, turn it on, and hold the ch- (channel down) button.
Congrats, you're now booted to Enigma2 on your Icecrypt s3550HDCCI.
Good luck.
