My girlfriend as purchased a iPhone 5 from that bumtree she seen it working on o2 but the seller said he needed is sim card. So she went to o2 and got 1 on pay as you go for £10.00. She as put in the new sim but it shows no signal. I've not seen the phone but I do believe it as 6.4 or 6.14 on it the sales person told her to txt the number to active the sim but she cannot because there is no signal she as tried to contact the seller but he is ignoring her calls.should she go to the shop to active it or is it more likely to be a stolen phone or as the seller done anything to get it blocked. I'm seeing her on Monday. If it is blocked is there a way around it as she wants to keep the phone. It was on o2 when she got it but as I said there is no signal now and she is worried incase it's stolen and cannot get her money back.

The o2 shop should be able to sort it. Most mobile shops I have used in Europe have one techy nerd that is on top of the job.
