spiderbox chanel edit

iv down loaded the spider 600 chanel edit is there an idiots guid how to use it please im stuck

Just load your channel list from your usb by clicking on open, wait for it to load,then start dragging and dropping channels into the order you want them, spent 4 hours yesterday doing it, stiff neck and saw eyes lol ! When your finished and you click save make sure it has saved or you've just wasted a lot of time !!!!

so when u put the usb in to the spide box and down load to usb iv got that then what do i open the chanel edit then put the usb stick in to the computer then what im stuck this the first tim iv done this could explain please im a bit thick lol

Open channel editor insert usb into your pc or laptop and click on open at the top of the channel editor, and open up the file on your usb it should then load into the editor, you will see it loading by looking at the green bar at the bottom of the editor, after that just find the sat you want to edit and click on it and the channels on that sat will appear, then drag and drop them into the order you want to view them !

can u rename ur fav 123 for exp

You reload it the same way you load a patch, in the software update menu, box will reboot and your channel list will be in, don't think there is a rename option as yet

I dont own a spiderbox 6000 HD so have never used the tool either

if you really want help, you should let those who have done this help you out by replying which is the reason we have a forum !

put the nsb in to the spider box nothing hapend im at the right menu i thenk soft wear

Its just an application file extension, just stick with the file that opens the editor and all will be well :-)

whay menu do i use on the spider box to down load the chanel list to the usb stick

open menu on the box ! Go to system settings ! Scroll down to software update ! open it ! Click on S/W update ! Scroll down to usb root ! Arrow right on your remote and press ok on the file you want to download ! it will load and box will reboot ! Job done ! Its more or less the same if you want to load channels from box to usb only you use the s/w back up option in the menu, and you have to press red button to confirm your action or it will not do anything !

The usb is just a storage device ! Your box or your pc uploads or downloads info from it only ! Have you got any channels on the box yet ? Do you have a fix dish or motorised system ? I think you need to take a time out and read the guides so you know what it is your trying to do first ! Having explained just about everything to you your still not getting it and I don't want to offend you, but short of doing it for you theres nothing else I can say other than read the guides then read them again till you get it :-)

No problem, you do need time and peace and quiet with these things, it took me 4-5 hours yesterday to get mine up and running and the I wanted it, once you get your head round how things work, all will fall into place Good Luck :-)

Pls remember that for the editor to work you need to follow Blackdevils instructions to the letter :) To open 6000`s list on that editor you need to change the extension to *.ssu first . iv put went to sthe usb stick in to the spider box went in to s/b to load the chanel list to the usb stick nothing hapend iv speses the red bution like u sed

Right mate, follow these instructions exactly ! Go to system settings scroll down to software update and open it, scroll down to s/w update and open it, you will see user database and usbo, click on usbo using ok button on remote, then scroll down to usbo (root) it will be highlighted in yellow, then use arrow right on remote, <add new file> will be highlighted in yellow click ok on remote, a keyboard will appear, type in whatever you want to call the file ie chanlist 1.ssu, note it must have .ssu ! Once you have typed file name hit red button to confirm, the file will now be highlighted in yellow, click ok on this file, you will then see a box asking if you want backup to file, you have to options an O and an X using arrow left on remote click on O and that is all good luck !

iv done it thanks again im having problems with my posioner now what a week what u using with ur dish mate ie moter

I don't know what the name of the motor is its been up that long the name has warn off with the weather, but its just a normal H to H 1.2 DiSEqC, I did not use Usals to set it up on the 6000, I just used one of the channel lists on here for the 6000 to get me started, then just used the box to move the motor in step mode to find the satellites one by one, I only use about 10 satelllites for my viewing needs plus the 6000 has limited memory for channels anyway.

I used the blackdevil one at the bottom off the main spiderbox section on here, its right at the bottom of all the main threads "channel lists" make sure its the 6000 one, usals is were you work out your latitude and longitude of where you live and enter it into the box and it will find the sats for you providing you have set up your dish and motor correctly ! if you haven't your motor will try and bury your dish into a wall if theres one close ! if you have an iphone theres a compass app that tells you lat and long
