Duo2 memory ?

Just bought a Duo2 from the sponsor

Specification all over says "2GB DDR3 DRAM"

What am I missing apart from 1GB ?

RAM: 1Gb avaiable for OS (Linux) + 1Gb avaiable for graphic engine = 2Gb
FLASH: 512Mb (chip1) avaiable + 512Mb (chip2) not yet initialized but present in the mainboard.

Thanks for info, a little misleading but I remember a similar situation when the DM8000 first came out.

Anyway this box is a worthy successor to my 8k, loving the speed of it.

bit like my nook, says 2 gig memory, but the os reserves 1.75 gig leaving just 250 meg for books on the internal memory

the kindle also has less memory than advertised for the same reasons, as does my HTC DESIRE android phone
