what box now

hi all 12 months since i last looked at a receiver been using the spiderbox,but im wanting to buy a new box ,any suggestions please,whats the blindscan and reception like on the new vu+solo 2,and the pic quality thanks guys

having used linux boxes for years now i cant
fault the vu models,and for me the solo2 is
the best model from the vu range when compared
with the uno and duo iv'e owned in the past
i got a solo2 from our sponsor gold wafers,
and find it a first class box.as for blind scan
this feature is built in the image so some have
it others don't. the video and audio quality is
fantastic and the channels open very fast plus
this box is a lot smaller than the other vu models
with a external psu like the dreambox uses, i use
the blackhole image and everything is crystal clear
and even though lots say the tuners are not as strong as
non linux boxes, from the north west erea of the uk i can
get good quality signals from sats like 7w and 26e

save up and get a Solo2 from the Sponsor.
I thought I'd never be able to manage a linux box, but, with help from this forum, I am sorted.

the Blackhole image I am using doesn't have it, but as I, ( & HER) are using it at 28.2east I don't need it.
I run a Dr.HD D15 for Multisat and Blindscan.

in any case, the plugin autobouquets can be employed to update your channel list on 28.2e which also sorts them out for you too

thanks but why dont you use the vu for Multisat and which black hole are you using

BH 2.03,.. and I would never dare suggest we watch another satellite when SHE has the remote,.......I have to go to the other room!.

i use the blackhole image for multisat and have
sats set from 30w to 42e,plus i use the online update
to get all the latest drivers/updates etc and at this time
it's v2.0.6.rev c ,i have tested other images but find the
BH for me the best and the image quality first class. the
BH also do black pole images that are based on the pli image
and they are also very good, but at this time there is'nt a image
for the solo2.
