usb pen drive

i have always kept my usb pen drive in the back of my hd9000 and have regularly saved channel data. am i right in thinking this would hold my sat positions and my channels? it is STB-DB.UDB. if so could i use it on the hd6000 to set my satellites and channels up or would it not be compatible with the hd6000.
have been doing a bit of reading through the stickys and am trying to do some groundwork for the hd6000 arriving.

its not compatible with the 6000 and is explained in another thread somewhere on here

the softcams are not compatible either

think of it as moving from a ford fiesta petrol to a ford mondeo diesel, totally incompatible with each other but have the same name (ford)

the wheels are not interchangeable, the oil filters arent interchangeable, the doors dont fit the other model , they do not use the same fuel , etc

its a spider in name only, nothing else
