cant access "net config" menu on Icecrypt S1600C HD

I have updated my Icecrypt S1600C HD to the S1600C_1.5.85 fw and when i try to access the "net config" menu it asks me for a 8 letter/number password i have tried 00000000 with no luck. I have also tried downgrading/upgrading and the issue remains.

the firmware instructions mention 6969 (yes I realise its not 8 characters) so maybe try that ?

Hi Marty, why would you want to enter the "Net Config"? Its only used to hide or lock the client config details.
If you have changed it by mistake and you still want to enter it, pmail me and I will give you the master PIN.

Another quick question:

When i record using the Icecrypt the recordings are encrypted on scrambled channels but fine on FTV channels even though i have the "record as encrypted option turned off is there any way i can watch/decrypt them on a mac/pc?

Im trying to ftp to my icecrypt 1600 and impossible with filezilla, it says econrefused, trying with user:root and password:root
I'm trying to enter in NET CONFIG to see if there is password and user changeable but there is a 8 digit password.
Is somehow possible for you to tell me this "main password",

To add lines into the S1600 or the S3200 you will need the patched SW found in the firmware section.

You cannot ftp into this model its a closed operating system, so you will need to either use the remote and enter your line details in the client config,
alternatively prepare the hsdata.cfg file that I posting here(contains line examples) using notepad then place your edited hsdata.cfg onto a USB.
Insert the USB into the receiver go into the Network menu>client config and press the "find" on the remote to load the hsdata.cfg.
If you have edited the file correctly this will install the line for you.
Please note that the hsdata.cfg can be used to lock the network config and/or hide the line details etc.
Please follow the example in the hsdata.cfg to use these options.
If you don't understand them then I recommend you totally delete these settings(or leave them #hashed) from the hsdata.cfg file before loading it into the receiver as incorrectly setting the network config could lock you out of it.

i have put on the 1.6.28 firmware
i am in spain so i have ftp update and got the astra 28 and intelsat 907 channel lists
got the 907 working ok tried the sky input lines but it says failed login i think
do i use homecamd ccam etc
and on 1 i tried n: server name port user pass 01 02 ok ok cccmd
on the other i think it was ip port user and pass 01 02 ok ok homecamd
server config 192.168.001.102 i cant change then 10000 ok homecamd 1.0

I've attached a How to insert your line details tut here for anyone thats interested.
Its for the Icecrypt S1600, S3200 and the STC3250 models but it is also good for the STC1650 and STC3220 models.
