Hi all. I've recently purchased the 6000hd. I've had a 9000 for a few years and am pretty familiar with the set-up. I'm having a particular problem with one TP on this box. The TP is 10847 V broadcasting the BBC HD channels. The picture will glitch and break-up after maybe 20-30 minutes of viewing on this channel.
I have deleted the TP and re-scanned and I've also checked the cable connections. All other TP's are stable. I can reboot the box to temporarily solve the problem. I'm also not having any glitching on any other TP's. Picture is stable on the 9000 on the same channels. Would anyone have any ideas?

I have a dect phone between the router and the 6000hd! I'll knock it off and see if it makes a difference. Thanks for the tip.

agree with manic01, sounds like DECT phone interference on the one transponder, or maybe affects just a few transponders ?

The DECT phone problem should only affect the channels on transponders near to 11640 and 12490 (assuming the dish has a Uni LNB)

The new 4g mobile network using 800MHz (as used in various parts of Europe and especially the UK) could also cause problems as the first harmonic 1600MHz lies in a Sat receivers range. Some countries also use the 800MHz band for WiFiMax.
Unfortunately, the 800MHz band in the UK is very wide (786 to 868 MHZ) so any interference from the 4g transmission's first harmonic could affect almost anywhere in the Sat band depending on which operator(s) is using your nearest mast.

With the phone off, the glitching is certainly less frequent, it ran uninterrupted for over an hour with no loss of picture quality. I've now done a factory reset and will see if that makes any difference. I should have said earlier that I also tried another 6000 which identified the same problem. It is probably a wireless or set-up problem and will be a process of elimination. I'll keep you posted and thanks to all who have offered advice to date.
