View Full Version : spiderbox 9900hd f100 fault

hi all, got a spiderbox 9900hd off ******* with the dreaded f100 fault have tried the recovery tool using xp , but no success just staying on f100 ,never had one of these before been using dreamboxes but thought I give a tryis there anything else I can to looked at the tip42 and it didn't look scorched or anything did notice the middle leg seemed to have no solder around it but that's from top view most prob plenty on the underside, the display seems very dim is this normal can just about make out its f100 , any help would be appreciated or poss somebody to repair it for me , please help soon thanks

If the recovery tool has connected and done its run (ie gone through the % flashing progress to the end) I would call it a doorstop unless anyone jumps forward with an offer to repair it. (too time consuming)

the recovery tool never did its thing , never flashed it , did everything like I was supposed to do pressed connect and it said connected then browsed for the file and got it turned the box on and nothing happens running on xp and I have changed the baude rating , any help please

Hi
If you followed the instruction to the letter, (MUST USE Null modem cable, PC with a 9pin comport, (NO ADAPTORS) Start with Power OFF at rear switch or unplugged after loading file, then power on.
No 100% guarantees that it will work.

Nobody would sell a Spiderbox in F100 condition if there were any chance of recovery.
I suggest you bin it and not waste any valuable time on it.

I followed to the letter just wont start to flash it connects then I browse to the file and it puts the file on the program turn the box on by the plug but nothing happens
