With your current list open you need to first save your favourites (Tools-> Save favourites)

then you download a fresh list of channels from the internet (NEW-> Internet Database) and when its finished downloading re-apply your favourites on it (Tools->Import Favourites)

You will now have the latest list of channels with your favourites.
