My friend currently has sly+ with multi room,he has seen my system(spiderbox with motorised dish) and wants one but wants to keep his dish.If he wants to watch one channel downstairs and one channel upstairs will the dish be ok and will he need 2 spiderboxes.I'm not up on the sly systems so presume it will already be a twin lnb will it? thankyou

his sly dish sounds like it will have the standard quad output lnb , 2 feeds for sly + and one feed to his multiroom, with one feed spare
so if he wants a spiderbox in each room, plus still wants his sly+ and multiroom, he would have to change the quad lnb to an octo lnb ( from 4 outputs to 8)
each tuner will need its own feed, so just count the number of tuners and that is how many feeds are required

It's unlikely his Sky dish will be big enough to operate ideally as a motorised dish. A 1 metre dish is recommended as the minimum size.

I meant my reply to be as if he is keeping the sly dish as a fixed sly dish, so not having a motorised dish
obviously if he wants a motorised dish, he will have to buy a new and larger dish, motor and lnb etc

Hoiech. My reply was to the OP about his friends dish - The Q could be translated as wanting to motorise his sky dish. Not intended as a correction of your reply.))
