Hi guys,

First post so bare with me if I appear a little uncertain about a few things.

I've successfully updated my personal TomTom, without any glitches or hiccups.

I went to update my folks old GO 300, ran a back up, had all the cracks and tools ready to go, followed proceedure and now each time on startup the Tom Tom reads "no maps found". Also checked TomTom Home and the backup seems to have disappeared, so now I am really stuck as I have no backup to restore from and no idea what to do next.

I followed proceedure as in the tutorials, I used FastActivate 02-10-2013 to do the cracks and patching and UK&IRE 915.5074_810cs with speed camera files for the updates. All the data is showing on there in TomTom Home, but nothing is working. Updated with 9.510-SE Navcore (I think that's right?) also.

Any help is much appreciated. I have updated this same TomTom a few years ago without problems and my own personal one again, hitch free.

I'll put up whatever info I can in regards to the tech info, but I'm stumped as to what to do from here.

Thanks

Morty85

Either try this navcore - https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?158689-Navcore-9-170-for-32Mb-ONE-models-by-mark-cat
or use tomtom home to get the latest official navcore, then try it with a map that does not have ALQ & IQ Routes etc. The Go300 is an old & basic model.

Erm, on second thoughts, scrap that last comment.

After successfully uploading data, turning off and attempting to restart. Said TomTom is now completely and utterly unresponsive and not recognised when plugged into laptop. Won't even seem to accept any charge...

Any ideas or is the bin the only option??

I still use my trusty old Go 300 but I have not updated the maps for about a year.

It still works well and I can't see the point in buying another more modern one until this one finally dies.

It does everything I require. Never fails to get me to my destination here in the UK or in Europe.

Yeah, thanks for the link. I have tried that numerous times, the TomTom wont even charge now, light wont come on, so not sure if its something more terminal...?
