6000 channel list ?

hi got my spiderbox today sorted most but I cannot seem to get chanel list to load
downloaded from here says it is a php file how can I change it (if indeed I have to)to ssu file put patch on no props but now I am confused,as you can appreciate I cannot wait to get it working

You need to download a list that was made for your box. If you don`t want to make your own, try and download one of Compass excelent lists from:

Just choose the one that best fits your setup (motor etc)

The problem is you don't have unrar or unzip program or both.
In last case ,you must install them .
If you have unzip program ,rename (.php) to (.zip) and unzip file .
If you have unrar ,rename (.php) to (.rar) and unrar file .

hi all part of the problem is internet explorer, older vertions download the files as zip or rar files you can then unzip them using WinRAR or 7zip, a later vertion of ie has installed itself I am running win7, this downloads the zip or rar files as php files , so you have to rename the file as a zip or rar file to be able to open it.

this is a right pain if you download for instance 5 files they all look the same, until you rename them and unpack them.

seems like another instance of Microsoft updating things that don't work properly

as mentioned above, try firefox or opera or chrome instead of internet explorer

Unless you are the cat's whiskers at what you are doing nthen make up your own chanell list,the default Sats are already on the 6000 assuming you have all stuf done like Patch,softdam,networks (lines and Icks) on and functioning properly and your Long and Lat sorted go to 28.2 get best signals and scan,do likewise on 19.2 and all the default Sats on the box I have 39,28.2,19.2,16,13,08 and 30 West,it takes a bit of time but you will have alol you want and wont overload your box past 6000 chanells,copy your own list on a stick and you can edit to your liking,I hope this gives you some ideas good luck,Knacker

hi all thanks for info,i wanted to do my own list,but was like a kid with a new toy and wanted it up and running soon as, calmed down now so will do my own once I find out best way to do it

If you follow the instructions included with the latest channel editor you should be able to create your own channel list, with what ever Sats & Favs etc you require.
