Spiderbox 9000: Ethernet keeps on 'connecting' but never connects

Hi mate,
I am a newbie and trying to set this box. i have a gift line and tried to set it to work.
Have done most of it but ethernet tends to keep connecting but never connects.
I have turned it off mains and done quite a few reboots as per old posts but no avail...Ethernet stating 'connecting' but not doing so.
Could i also have a guide to setting the network part on the 9000 hd, please..

Are you sure you have a Spiderbox 9000HD?
These were discontinued, some time ago, along with the 5000SD and 7000HD models, and the gift will no longer be working, unless you have subscribed separately.
Can you please check if you actually have a Spiderbox 9000HD and not the new Spiderbox 6000HD, then provide more details regarding what your gift, without breaking the forum rules.

gift line was turned off some 1.5 or more years ago so the section under ETHERNET no longer works and will NEVER connect
